Right now I'm sitting on my bed in my room with teary eyes, I have one of my hands covering my mouth and the other holding a few pregnancy tests right in front of me. There's a knock at my bedroom door and it opens, I quickly blink away my tears and set the pregnancy tests down beside my leg underneath the blankets.
Brennen: What did you just shove underneath your blankets?
Sydney: Nothing.
Brennen walks over to my bed and sits on the end of it.
Brennen: Syd don't lie to me. I saw you shove something underneath your blankets.
Sydney: Brennen I-
Brennen: Don't lie. Hand it over.
Sydney: No.
Brennen: Why? Is it a Juul?
Sydney: No.
Brennen: Then give it to me.
Sydney: I can't.
Brennen: Yes you can. Give it to me now.
Sydney: Can you promise not to be mad at me?
Brennen: I'm not making any promises until you hand it over to me.
I reach under my covers and grab the positive pregnancy tests, I hand them to Brennen and he grabs them out of my hand. He looks at it and I look down.
Sydney: I'm sorry. It was an accident.
Brennen: Sydney. Oh my god. Did you tell Chase?
Sydney: No. I'm too scared to tell him.
Brennen: How far along are you?
Sydney: Only three weeks.
Brennen: Have you gone to the doctor to make sure?
Sydney: Yes.
Brennen: Who took you?
Sydney: Josh and his mom.
Brennen: Is Josh and his mom the only ones that know?
Sydney: Yes. I was too scared to tell you and Chase.
Brennen: You need to tell him.
Sydney: Brennen I can't.
Brennen: He deserves to know if his girlfriend is pregnant with his baby.
Sydney: I can't tell him. He won't like it and he's gonna leave me.
Brennen: Just tell him.
Sydney: No.
Brennen: Then what are you going to do? You can't hide a pregnancy in your relationship.
Sydney: I'm just gonna have to break up with him.
Brennen: Sydney that's fucking stupid.
Sydney: He doesn't want a baby. We're only seventeen. I don't want to bother him with a baby.
Brennen: Fine. I'll let you figure it out yourself that breaking up with him is a stupid idea. Do what you want.
Brennen sets the pregnancy tests down on my bed and stands up and walks to my door.
Brennen: Just know that you're gonna break his heart when you break up with him. You guys have been together for so long and for you to just end it because you're pregnant with his baby is wrong Sydney.
Brennen walks out of my room shutting the door behind him, I lift my head up and tears start filling my eyes again. I grab my phone and text Chase.

💜Sydney💜: When you see this we need to talk.
I set my phone down, an hour goes by and my phone dings, I grab it and see a text from Chase. I put in my password and go to our messages, I read the text that he sent.
🥰Bub🥰: Okay.
🥰Bub🥰: What do we need to talk about? Is everything okay?
💜Sydney💜: No. Not really.
🥰Bub🥰: Do you want me to come over?♥️ We can have a movie night❤️
💜Sydney💜: No.
🥰Bub🥰: Syd what's wrong? Can I do anything to make you feel better?
💜Sydney💜: Chase I really don't want to do this but I need to and I don't want to do it over text but I don't think I can do it in person.
🥰Bub🥰: What are you talking about Sydney?
💜Sydney💜: We need to break up.
🥰Bub🥰: What?! Why?! What did I do?!
💜Sydney💜: Nothing. It's me. I just feel like it's not working out anymore. Chase I'm so sorry.
🥰Bub🥰: Sydney please don't do this? I love you💔

🥰Bub🥰: I'm coming over.
💜Sydney💜: Please don't. It's gonna make this so much harder.
It shows that he read the message but he didn't reply, I quickly stand up off of my bed and pack and overnight bag. I grab my phone and phone charger along with my pregnancy tests. I put my shoes on, I open my door and run down the stairs to the front door. I grab my keys and open the front door.
Brennen: Where are you going?
I turn around and see Brennen standing behind me.
Sydney: To Anthony's.
Brennen: Why?
Sydney: Because I just broke up with Chase and now he's on his way over here and I can't talk to him because it's gonna make things so much harder. Please don't tell him I went to Anthony's when he gets here?
Brennen: This is wrong Syd. You're hurting him so much. I think he would rather know that you're pregnant than you break up with him.
Sydney: Brennen please just stop. I'll be back tomorrow.
Brennen: Fine. Whatever Sydney.
I walk outside onto the porch shutting the door behind me, I unlock my car and run over to it. I throw my stuff in the passenger seat, I put my keys in the ignition and start my car. I pull out of my driveway and start driving to Anthony's, when I get to Anthony's I park my car and grab my stuff. I put the pregnancy tests in my back pocket and get out of my car, I shut my car door and lock it. Tears well in my eyes again as I walk up the door, I knock on it. A few seconds pass by and Anthony opens it, he looks at me and opens the door wider. I walk in and set my stuff down, he shuts the door behind me. He hugs me and I hug him back.
Anthony: What happened?
Sydney: A-are your parents here?
Anthony: No. Sydney what happened?
Sydney: I-I broke up with Chase.
I start crying, Anthony walks us over to the couch. We sit down on the couch.
Anthony: Why?
Sydney: *Crying* Because I'm pregnant.
