Me and Chase have been best friends for a few years now, as we've gotten older I've developed feelings for him that I've hidden for about a year now. Right now I'm sitting in my room at my desk writing in my diary, my phone starts ringing. I grab it and see that Chase is calling me, I answer my phone.
Sydney: Hey Chase.
Chase: Hey.
Sydney: Are you almost here?
Chase: Actually I uh I don't know if I can hangout today. I'm actually at Avery's right now to talk to her about something.
Sydney: Oh. Okay. What are you gonna talk to her about? You sound upset.
Chase: I'm gonna break up with her.
Sydney: What? Why? You really like her Chase.
Chase: I know. It just doesn't feel right.
Sydney: Oh. Well do you want to hangout tomorrow?
Chase: Maybe. Depending on how it goes with Avery.
Sydney: Okay. Well I'll talk to you later I guess.
Chase: Okay. Bye.
Ava: Bye.
I hang up and set my phone down.
Brennen: Sydney!
I get up from my desk chair and walk out of my room, I walk downstairs to the kitchen and see Brennen.
Sydney: What?
Brennen: I'm going to McDonald's. Did you want anything?
Sydney: No.
Brennen: Okay. I'll be back in like fifteen minutes.
Sydney: Okay.
I walk back upstairs to my room while Brennen leaves, I sit back down at my desk and continue to write in my diary. A few minutes go by and I stand up from my desk, I walk to my bed and turn on my tv. I start watching Bob's Burgers, a few hours go by and it's now dark outside. I grab my phone and see that it's 9 pm, I get up off of my bed and walk to my closet. I grab a pair of shorts and a shirt, I get changed into my pajamas. I walk to my bathroom and shut the door behind me, I start brushing my teeth. When I finish brushing my teeth I start washing my face, I hear my door open and close. I wash my face off with water and dry it, I walk out of my bathroom and see Chase. I look at his face and see that his eyes are bloodshot and it looks like he's been crying.
Sydney: What are you doing here?
Chase: I needed to come here. I need to talk to you.
Sydney: Are you okay?
Chase: No. I'm an emotional wreck. Especially after reading what's on your desk.
I look at my desk and see I forgot to close my diary.
Sydney: You read that?
Chase: Yes.
I walk over to it and quickly shut it, I put it in my desk drawer.
Sydney: That's my privacy. How could you?
Chase: I'm sorry Sydney. I know I shouldn't of read it but now I know how you feel and I want you to know that I feel the same way about you. That's why I broke up with Avery. I liked someone else and that someone else is you. I needed to come over and tell you that. My whole relationship with her didn't feel right because Avery wasn't you.
Sydney: Chase I don't know what to say.
Chase: I know that this is a lot but we both like each other and you can't deny it now
I walk over to Chase and hug him, he hugs me back.
Chase: I'm sorry I read it.
Sydney: It's okay.
Chase leans down and kisses me, I kiss him back.
Chase: Do you want to be my girlfriend?
Sydney: Yes.
I smile at Chase and he smiles back at me, we lay down in my bed and continue to watch Bob's Burgers.
