The sun finally disappears over the horizon as we near the Chalet. The games must have started in mid day, since it surely had been only a couple hours since nightfall. While I couldn't actually see the sun, I could see the light behind the clouds.
"Not much farther." Bailey whispers. "Keep alert."
"Got it." Mateo says, holding his little knife out like it was a long sword. I slide my axe up my hand, trying to find the right grip. I didn't have a holster for it, so I had to lug it around. Still don't know why the holster didn't come with it.
"There it is." I whisper unintelligibly. I had to really focus on my accent while whispering, because if I didn't, the Polish would jumble with the English. Not a great combo.

(Yes, I'm using the one from Rainbow Six Siege.Big oof.)
The chalet had come into view. It was a two story winter home with many hilly paths near it. It was massive - at least triple the size of our apartments. I could even spot a garage door towards the bottom, confirming it was three stories.
"We'll be comfortable." Mateo gloats, smiling as we look at it.
"Until stuff goes wrong." Bailey points out. "It's a huge place. It's hard to defend such a large house."
"Looks like a challenge." I say, crouching and approaching the house. The other two begrudgingly follow me.
"Maybe we should pick a smaller place." Bailey suggests.
"We've gone too far for that." Mateo points out. "Besides, I don't want to be out here when it's night."
"Me neither." I say, as we make it to an outside door. "Cmon, Bailey. We're right here."
She sighs, before nodding her head. "Fine. We search the whole place though. Meet right back here when you're done."
"Okay." I say. "I'll take top floor."
"God, is that a wine cellar?" Bailey exclaims, looking through the peephole in the door. "I get this floor."
"Ground floor it is." Mateo says, and we enter the building quietly. The basement was dark and only lit by a few intermittent lights. There was a hallway to the left that went into a wine cellar, and a staircase further forward.
I climb said staircase, appearing in a foyer. There was another staircase leading to the top floor, and a door to my right which led into a kitchen. I couldn't see into the kitchen, or the room behind it. It was too dark back there. I take the stairs again, entering an upper hallway.
I go left, which leads into a luxurious bedroom. It lead onto a patio, and a bathroom. After scanning the bathroom, I step out onto the patio. From here, I could see a lot of the arena. It truly was beautiful. The city had its lights on, and a nice 10 or so mph breeze was coming over the mountains. I couldn't see anyone yet, but I could see the cornucopia. This was the part I had seen back at the bloodbath.
