"some people you just gotta love from a distance."

//

it's the next morning.

"morning."

Helena nearly falls to the ground when she sees Yoongi in front of her. they were just simply waiting for the teacher to let the children in. she definitely wasn't expecting the bizarre boy from yesterday to talk to her.

Helena lifts her chin. she can't appear shy or bothered by him greeting her. "oh hi, good morning." she replies- fond of people when they're nice.

"i wasn't speaking to you."

Helena's cheeks blaze in a fire as Yoongi points to her niece.

Helia stays glued to Helena's side. "say good morning." she tells her in a gracious tone. she tries to brush off the embarrassment and avoids eye contact with the evil boy.

"morning." Helia whispers. she's had a stomach ache all morning and didn't want to come into school. she knows she has no choice but to.

Helena looks back at Yoongi. his dusky hair is tucked under a beanie today- his eyebrows covered, hair falling into his beady, pointed eyes that hold unexplainable starry specks of copper. there's a belt around his waist, flannel blowing in the winter wind. Helena doesn't like him but still thinks he's pretty.

then again, she doesn't even know him.

after Helena drops Helia off and Yoongi drops off his brother, the two make their way to the same, known bus stop. they walk at a distance away from each other. morning my ass.

there's a terrible, awkward silence.

Helena rolls back her shoulders. i am a mature, sophisticated and unbothered queen and no one can tell me otherwise- she encourages herself before walking up to muted Yoongi.

"i guess we got off on the wrong foot." Helena puts her ring covered hand out, smiling a fake yet civilised smile as she waits for the boy to reply.

if he doesn't reply, it's okay. it's not the end of the world- Helena thinks. although, a part of her really wants him to shake her hand and say his name. for once, she wants to see a smile from the pale, dark haired male.

"i'm Helena." she introduces herself. good terms is what she wants. plus, it would be nice to have a close neighbour as a friend and bus buddy.

"and i'm not interested."

Helena is taken aback. her hand freezes and joins her side again.

the weathers cold but damn is he colder. winter can't even compare.

Yoongi gets onto the bus as soon as it arrives and Helena scoffs. she doesn't know what to say or think. is he like this with everyone?

Yoongi gets onto the bus, hands tucked in his pockets as he takes his seat next to Jungkook. "i do have an attitude, don't i?" he sighs irritably.
