Sonia's POV- July 2019

After Bobbi and I dropped Carol and Drew off at the airport, we made our way to Chris and Nora's house.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he's got memory loss"

It had been a little over a week since Chris had been rushed to the hospital. We had not gotten a chance to go see him during the week since we were both busy with school, but we still made sure to keep in contact with Nora.

"I hope they're awake, we came unannounced," I said.

"It's past 10 AM, Nia"

"Normal people sleep in on their days off" I pointed out.

A loud 'wuff' was heard from inside the residence as we walked onto the property. That seemed to go unnoticed by Nora, who was putting away the car cleaning supplies.

"Almost done?"

Nora turned around and smiled as she squeezed excess water from the drying towel she was holding.

"Yes"

"Do you need help?" I asked.

"I got it"

She had washed and vacuumed both hers and Chris' cars.

"Is Chris up?"

I gave her a hug.

"He might be"

I took the container that Bobbi was holding, so she could give Nora a hug.

"What about his family?" I asked.

His sister and mom were staying to lend an extra hand.

"They should both be up by now"

"Bobbi made dairy-free flan, for all of you," I said.

She smiled.

"Go right on in, I'll be there in a second"

Mary, Chris' mom immediately greeted us and went to put away the flan.

"Would you like a glass of water?"

"No thank you, I've got my hydro flask" I answered.

Bobbi smiled.

"I've got my hydro flask too"

Mary nodded.

"Is it okay if I use the restroom?"

Mary smiled.

"Not at all, do you know where it is?"

As Bobbi used the restroom, I took a seat and scrolled through my phone.

"Hey"

I looked up from my phone and smiled at Chris' younger sister, Noel.

"Hi" I greeted.

I stood up to accept her hug.

"Nora mentioned the place you were interning at offered you a full-time job"

"Yes," I confirmed.

"Well, that's good. You didn't have to start all over"

We took a seat.

"How's your brother?" I asked.

"He looks way better"

That's good to hear.

"Sonia, would you and Bobbi like to stay for breakfast?"

"We ate already," I told her.

Carol had prepped us some yummy breakfast this morning.
