Ten

Sonia's POV- March 2019

So...Clara told my parents everything that went on in Arizona. And by everything I mean me meeting Alex, and having a one night stand. Apparently, she was worried because I had been so careless 🙄 and there was a chance I could have caught something or worse that I could be pregnant. I then spent about an hour trying to convince my parents that no I did not need to miss work to get blood drawn for tests. Since I was heated, I told them all she failed to tell them. That is where they laid off for a bit, but they wanted to see me in person which meant they'd either come to LA or I'd go to them in Aliso Viejo. It got slightly worse,

"Your parents want to meet him?"

My dad did.

"I'll fight her, I've never liked her anyways"

Bobbi was not going to get the satisfaction to do that... I was.

"I'd rather not get anyone else involved" I noted.

"She certainly had no problem getting your parents involved"

True.

"So how do you plan on telling him?

"I'll let him know after I drop you off," I said.

"I think you should wait until after the date"

"He's going to notice something is wrong" I stated.

He was good at reading me.

"Everything will be alright"

I sure hoped so.

"Push it aside and enjoy the game"

It was hard to do so, but I was able to enjoy the game and only because the Dodgers hit a handful of home runs. In the end, they beat the Diamondbacks, 12-5. Alex was not in the starting lineup, but he was substituted in to pinch hit for Pitcher. He lined out to left field and was then replaced by Chris who was playing short.

"He changed his number"

"What number did he have before?" I asked.

"61"

He was now 27, Matt Kemp's old number.

"Chris' pretty girlfriend is waving us over"

I followed her gaze to see Nora waving us over. We stood up and made our way down to her.

"Hey!"

Nora hugged Bobbi first before pulling me into an embrace.

"It's so nice to see both of you!"

She led us to the family room, where she sat in between both of us and talked to us. Thankfully, Alex and Chris walked into the room at the same time so I did not have to talk to the women whose eyes were curiously glancing at me. They seemed to get their answer when Alex pulled me into a hug.

"Thanks for coming"

"Of course, thanks for having us" I replied.

Even when he hugged Bobbi, one of his hands stayed on my back.

"Long time no see"

He smiled as Bobbi hugged him.

"Such a long time"

Bobbi wiggled her eyebrows at me before turning to Chris.

"You have no idea how much I miss you"

She proceeded to launch herself and cling to him.

"I took you for granted Chris, these new neighbors are shit"

He laughed as she let go of him.

"Are you free this Sunday?"
