You expected Nagato to go into one of his rage fits and destroy everything in his path but he didn’t. He was feeling numb. The news of his dead child really broke him to pieces. It brought back memories of his parents and Yahiko and the rest of the Ame orphans who were slaughtered.

You lied on the bed alone trying to ignore the painful cramps still shook by what happened. You heard the door opened then felt a pair of lips on your cheek. Nagato lied down as well and turned you around so he would look into your eyes. 

You didn’t know what to say so you caressed his cheek softly looking into his piercing sad orbs. “..Nagato…I don’t know what to say…I don’t know where to begin…I'm sorry… I'm sorry for everything”

He shushed you and pulled you close. “Please, don’t apologize…I don’t want to play the blame game…we were both at fault. I was too weak to protect you. What kind of god am I, if I can’t protect the people I love?”

“Nagato you are very strong but you just had a bad twist of events…just know that I’ll always be there to protect you and help you achieve your dreams…Yahiko said that you are the savior of this world and it’s our job to be that bridge that’ll help you reach that goal. Don’t blame yourself for anything….at least we both made it out alive and well….we could always try again maybe later on when it’s safer for both of us” He teared up and hugged you tightly burying his face the crook of your neck.

There was knock at the door and you both sat up. Soon enough Konan entered and sat next to you both. “I heard your words y/n...Thank you for being our friend…you really remind us of Yahiko” She said rubbing your shoulder gently.

You smiled and hugged her as well “I’ll always protect you too Konan” you said but she shook her head “You’ve done enough it’s our turn to protect you now” as Nagato nodded

You smiled and pulled them both into a hug. “Thank you for being here for me”

Hidan

You lay on the bed in the hideout staring at the ceiling emotionlessly as Hidan sat on the edge with his face buried in his palms. The room around you was almost destroyed after Hidan threw a rage fit hearing that the doctors forced you to deliver the dead child in fear of infection.

He bit his lip anxiously, since you’ve been sitting there quietly for two whole hours and turned to look at you “How are you feeling?”

“I just gave birth to a dead child…how do you think I feel?” you said sarcastically in a lifeless tone feeling your soul go numb at merely speaking those words.

He looked at you sadly and went to sit next to you. “let it out y/n”

“let what out?” you asked emotionlessly

“I know you want to cry so just do it”

You shook your head “I'm not sad or angry….im numb…I'm shook…I can’t believe I just went through with that… I still can’t believe that happened. I feel like a part of my soul just died along with that child” you stopped feeling tears from in your eyes. He lied next to you and hugged you tightly.

“ I’ve never felt so weak…I'm sorry for letting you down… I let Jashin sama down…and I let myself down"

“shhh don’t say things like that. It’s life! Shit happens! Don’t blame yourself for any of this. Got that! My fucking girl just fought off a group of ninja’s that Kakuzu and I lost against, while fucking pregnant! You are fucking awesome and amazing! And we could always try again ...maybe later when you are ready”
