Festival proposal

But first education time~

In case you don't know, the Tanabata festival (Star festival), is a Japanese festival that celebrates the meeting of the Deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (some cute constellation love story where two lover stars meet in the sky once a year)
If it rains on this day it means the lovers never got to meet and have to wait til next year.
The people in the festival write wishes on pieces of paper and hang then on bamboo trees. Like an xmas trees but decorated with colorful papers and streamers full of cute wishes ^^

I didn't write what reader chan wished for ( Except for Kakuzu's story) and I leave it to your imagination. If you were in these situations, what would you wish for?

Pein

You did as he said and moved far away from the rain village and settled in a small abandoned house in the outskirts of the fire country. You have taken care of the small house and it was more of a home now. Soon enough, you got news about some tailed beasts beginning to vanish from their villages while spending your time in the nearest town to get your supplies.

2 whole months have passed with you awaiting Pein's visit or at least a letter or anything, but nothing appeared. You sighed sadly and walked into the bathroom to take a shower. You took off your shirt and as you removed it you saw a figure in your mirror starring at you. You flinched and quickly directed a punch at the figure, only to have it caught and be met with a pair of lips smashing into yours. You stared in shock realizing it was Pein. You relaxed and pulled him deeper into the kiss.

He pulled away "I still scare you?"

"No...but you are the most perverted god I've ever met" you said making him smile. How you missed his sweet smile.

"I guess the space did us good then... I don't feel like stabbing you in the chest anymore"

You laughed "neither do I... I take it your missions are going well?...I've been hearing the news around"

He nodded wrapping his arms around your waist "The members already caught four of them... we still have five more to go"

"I'm glad to hear that" you smiled then looked down "Is that the only reason you came back here?"

He smiled "other than the fact that I missed you so so much and that I wanted to brag about our successful missions, I do. I'm here to talk about our plan...but first you need to get dressed because we are going out"

You looked at him confused "Out?...as in a mission?"
He shook his head "Out...as in a date"
You looked at him in disbelief. He has never asked you out before. He was so work oriented and the only thing you considered a date was having a cup of cold ramen while you did paper work.

You nodded and went to get dressed while saying "Either the real you was killed in battle and this is a fake Zetsu clone of you,which I don't mind, or you finally snapped and decided to kill me when I least expect it using this date as a cover"
He rolled his eyes and waited for you in the living room.

You both headed out into the nearby village and you were shocked to see the festival going on there. Now you knew why Pein came to your place dressed in a black kimono and a hooded cape over it. You found it sweet that he finally took some time to give his attention to you ...for a second there you actually felt like a normal couple doing basic couple things.
After watching the fireworks, he took you to a secluded area in a nearby forest with decorated bamboo trees all over and stopped next to one then looked at you with a smile handing you a ribbon "Are you going to make a wish?"
You smiled excitedly and took the paper ribbon from him and he handed you a pen to write your wish. You hung it on the tree and saw him hanging a chain of paper cranes on the branch next to yours
You looked at him curiously
"It's Konan's wish to you...to have a long and healthy life"
"What about your wish?"
He smiled "My wish is already coming true" he approached you holding both your hands and looking deeply into your eyes "but my happiness depends on your answer.
"Answer?" you asked
He nodded and leaned his forehead on yours "y/n...will you do me the honour in being my wife?"
Your eyes widened in shock at what you've just heard. He stabs you, fires you from your job, kicks you out of your home, disappears for a few months with zero means of contact, and now he wants you to marry him?!
Of course the answer to this was clear and you couldn't stand this outrageousness much longer.
"Yes... yes I'd love that so very much" you smiled happily hugging him tightly burying your face into his neck "I can't believe after all this time. how ironic to reunite on the day of the star festival... like I have felt Orihime's longing as well"
