Pein

You exited the room and didn't look Pein in the eye. For some reason you felt disgusted with yourself. You've destroyed entire villages before but this simple mission messed you up completely.

Pein noticed you giving the cold shoulder and got a bit worried “y/n…could you drop by my tower when we head back? I need to talk to you”

 You didn’t answer and just nodded then sprinted off jumping next to the other six paths instead.

You reached the rain village and entered the tower, to where Nagato was. He had unhooked himself from the contraption and was sitting on the ground leaning his back at it. 

You walked in and stood in front of him “What?”

He sighed “You know I don’t like that tone. What has gotten in to you? You’ve been acting different ever since we returned from the mission. Is there something you want to tell me?”

“I guess I have something to say” You sighed “Nagato….you said you wanted to achieve peace for the future generation of the world to live in harmony, right?”

He nodded 

“I-…I agree with you but I don’t think we are on the right path towards it….it’s not like we haven’t done it before but…did we really have to kill all those children… heck if we keep this up, there won’t be a future generation to see your bright sunny world!”

 
He shook his head “I knew it. I knew you couldn’t handle that mission. You got easily attached. Konan would’ve been a better choice”

“THAT ISN’T ABOUT MY ATTATCHMENT! I’m telling you what you are doing is wrong and I don’t agree with your views anymore!”

“He frowned and got up “ARE YOU LISTENING TO YOURSELF WOMAN!! You swore loyalty for the Akaktsuki, the organization who picked you up when you were a mere rat! You cannot defy our goals and change our paths just because your heart was weak! Toughen up y/n! it’s how the world works! You think a konoha shinobi wouldn’t kill children? Or a pure amegakure shinobi won’t kill amegakure children!! If shinobi’s slightly hesitated then what good are they for?!”

“I just don’t think shinobis can coexist with peace… if there were no shinobi to start with we wouldn’t have wars”

“that is ignorant of you to say, y/n….and here I thought you were smarter. Siblings, from birth fight,…they fight over their mother’s attention and then it grows to jealousy and greed and pride regardless if they were shinobi or not. Man was made to kill and it is our job to keep them in check after achieving our goals. Our job is to contain that savagery by teaching them all a lesson! Is that understood?”

“NO! It is not!! I don’t want to be a part of some sick organization!! In fact I can make my own”

You turned to leave but he grabbed your arm “HOW DARE YOU!!!??? AFTER EVERYTHING I'VE SACRIFICED FOR YOU!!”

You struggled in his grip “Let go of me you monster!!” you stumbled trying to push him away from his grip but he wouldn’t let go, so you slammed his back against the wall roughly. He frowned and placed his open palm on your chest. Your eyes widened and he used his almighty push to slam into the facing wall.
