joey stops the car at the kids school, he quickly leaves the car and runs inside

i hesitantly open the car door praying the kids are safe and this is all just a false alarm. i make my way inside the schools office and walk to joey when i see him

"call for jay and sophia" he shouts at the people working in the office

"excuse me? what can i-"

"just call them!" joey takes a step closer to the lady, she grabs the phone and starts to call the classroom

"you don't think they took them, do you?" i look at joey

"elle i don't know okay? fuck!" he runs his hand through his hair and keeps his eyes on the lady calling them

i stare at the lady and watch her put the phone down, "i'm sorry but your kids aren't in class"

"then where are they? what kind of school do you guys run?" joey screams

he walks out the office and i follow behind him, "are they there?" lexi ask

"no!" joey shouts

i start to cry and lexi comes to comfort me, "we'll find them, okay. i promise we'll find them"

"lexi i cant go a day without them, what am i gonna do?" my body starts to shake

"elle, baby" she pulls me in a hug

"i need them lexi" i cry onto her chest

"guys" carter says, we all turn to look at him, he has a paper in his hand

joey grabs the paper from him and stares at it, "what the fuck is this?" he throws the paper on the ground

i bend down and grab it from the floor

"is this some game to them? a fucking hunt?" joey exclaims

i read the paper slowly, lexi holds my hand

is written on it with a punch of codes. i've seen these codes before i just don't remember from where.

i furrow my brows and look at carter, "what the does this mean? it makes no sense?"

carter looks at me hesitantly before saying, "we need to give them whatever they want or they'll hurt jay and sophia. apparently they already have something of joeys. we've been getting sent these for a while, all of them wanting something to do with you elena"

all the attention gets put on me and i furrow my brows, "why me?"

"we don't know, we have to ask michael" geo takes the paper from me

"okay lets go, all of us. elena you go with lexi, everyone else with me" i hear david shout

i walk over to lexis car and she quickly drives out the parking lot
