i wish i could tell her not to be scared of me, that her old self wouldnt care if i did something like this

"don't say that" i groan

she wipes her tears, "i want to leave this place, please. i cant be with you"

"i'm just protecting you. if anything hurts you it's my job to hurt them back" i tell her

"your job?"

"no, not my job but if anyone or anything hurts someone i love of course i will do anything to make them suffer"

she bites her bottom lip in frustration, "you're insane! you just killed a man! what the fuck is wrong with you?"

"fuck" i spit

if she reacts to me killing some guy, i cant imagine how she'll react when i tell her she's in a gang and our kids life's are on the line

my phone starts to ring and i pick it up and put it to my ear, "what do you want lexi?"

"i'm coming over, i think i might have some things that may help elena. just make sure she trust you" lexi says, "i'm 2 minutes away"

i look at elena as she has her eyes on the floor, ignoring eye contact. she won't even look at me! i fucked up so badly

i turn my back towards elena, "about that..."

"what did you do? i only left for 40 minutes" she says with a bit of anger in her voice, i see her parking her car in my drive way

she ends the call and starts walking towards us, then stops when she sees the dead body on the floor

her eyes widen when she realizes it's the doctor, "joey!" she shouts

i sigh, not only do i have elena hating me but i also have lexis annoying ass here to judge me, as always

"i had too! he hurt elena" i put my phone in my back pocket and walk towards her

"are you out of your damn mind! he-" she pauses, "did elena see this? fuck joey please tell me she didn't see this"

i turn my body towards elena and lexi gasp

i look back and lexi, "i fucked up, i know i did and if you're going to spend the next 20 minutes telling me that i'll kill you too"

elena slowly walks back inside the house and lexi runs inside to follow her

i look at the body on the floor, "what am i gonna do with you"

lexis pov

"hey let me help you" i catch up to elena

she turns around to look at me, "no it's fine" she walks into the bathroom, quickly closing the door but i stop it with my foot

i open the door and watch her back away from me

"i won't hurt you" i frown

i close the bathroom door, locking it so joey doesn't come inside which makes her even more scared

i notice the blood on her arm, "did he-" i stop, he wouldn't hurt her

"let me wash the blood off you" i put my hand out for her, she looks at my hand then at me

slowly giving in, she gives me her hand and i grab a cloth, washing the blood off of her. "who are you" she ask
