"i have no idea where she is" i tell giovanni

he takes a deep breath and gives me a death stare, i'm about to die. he's about to kill me

my only task was to watch out for elena and i've failed

"what do you mean you don't where she is!" he shouts, "where did she go?"

"i don't know. the last time i saw her she was moving out of madison's house. i haven't seen her ever since that day"

"you didn't ask where she is moving too?" he's very angry with me

"no, i think she said she's moving in with joey? i'm not quite sure"

he roll his eyes at me and opens his computer, typing a bunch of things in

"how long ago did you see her?"

"maybe 2 weeks ago?" i breathe

i'm just begging for someone to walk into the office and give him some good news so he can let me go

and with my luck, someone does walk in, conner

"what conner? don't you see i'm busy with someone?" giovanni grabs a pen

"sorry to interrupt but someone said they saw elena at a hospital yesterday with joey. she had bruises all over her stomach" conner says

my heart drops and i furrow my brows, "bruises where?"

"her stomach" conner repeats

"what hospital? is she still there? did you find out what happened to her or why she has those bruises?" i ask conner

"exactly conner! be specific" giovanni agrees with me

"she was there for a couple of hours. joey was spotted crying there. they left at 7am and she was unconscious in his arms when they arrived and when they left" conner says

"unconscious?" giovanni raises his brow

"yes, some pictures were taken" he takes out the pictures of joey carrying elena to his car

i stare at giovanni and study his facial expressions. if elena is hurt or let alone dead, it's an extra point for giovanni

he'll kill the kids and will leave michael with no choice to give him everything he wants

but i'm only worried about elena. was she beaten? joey looks defeated in the pictures, his arms are also wrapped

giovanni holds the picture up, then grabs his phone and puts it to his ear

with a few rings someone picks up the phone. he puts the phone on speaker for all of us to hear

"hello?" the familiar voice says

a laugh escapes giovannis mouth, "how are you"

"giovanni."

he lights a cigarette up and chuckles, "are you aware that your daughter is in danger or maybe even dead? you remember our deal right?"

the person on the other side of the call is quite. giovanni looks at the phone to make sure he hasn't the ended

"we never made a deal gio. i know exactly where my daughter is and she's safe in the hands of my men"

michael. it was michael on the phone, elenas biological father. the one she hates with a passion

"your men seem exhausted. do you think it would be easy for all hundred of our men to take down your five friends" gio laughs
