a week later

elenas pov

lexi has came over and brought some pizza to celebrate me getting my memory back

she wants me to go the hotel because david and leo have a lot of information and she hates going back and forth but joey just argues with her

they found a new boy named pakis, he's been spying on madison for a while now and she says it's been scary for her

i insisted madison stays with us but joey refuses. she can be a threat, he says. but madison is my best friend and i know she would never do anything horrible

pakis is 28 years old, he is from new jersey and grew up by himself and he has a younger brother who mysteriously disappeared. he's been in gio's mafia for 3 years now and apparently knows a lot about me. his only revenge is to show me to giovanni so he can know more about what happened to his brother

"giovanni sent us a letter and said if he doesn't have elena in 10 months he will kill the kids" lexi pulls out the letter and joey snatches it from her

joey only woke up a hour ago, his hair is a mess and his shirtless body is glowing in the kitchen light but i am not complaining in any way

he rips the letter and throw it down the sink and shreds it. lexi and i are in shock to why joey would do that

"i won't let them kill my kids, we need to hurry and do something about this. i'll find pakis myself, along with ethan and have them locked up in my garage. i'll kill them the same way we killed gabe"

"what is that going to do?" lexi adjust her glasses

"it's a threat to them, that if he doesn't give us our kids that i will kill more or his men"

"joey you aren't understanding this, he has an entire mafia. you killing a hundred men won't do anything but make him laugh"

"we have the hundred michael sent us, like diana" joey says and my blood runs cold

"you leave diana alone" lexi raises her finger at him

"or what? i'm going to murder her right in front of carter"

"joey! don't you dare lay a finger on her..."

a laugh comes out of joeys mouth, "i've had her over a couple times"

lexis eyes widen, i'm guessing diana being here isn't a good plan, "you what"

"she's in love with me" joey says like it's nothing

"she loves carter" lexi snaps

"is that why she won't stop texting me about how good i made her feel-"

"joey" i stop him

they both look at me, it's like he forgot that i'm standing right here

i can't say anything about joey and diana because i have no room especially because of ethan and i

i hate diana, i don't want her to have joey, i don't want her to feel what i feel when i'm with him

joey takes his phone out and i hear him send a quick text, "she's on here way now, so pack your things"

"does she not recognize you?" lexi ask

"no she doesn't, what a dumbass right?" joey chuckles, "but she knows you right? so leave"

lexi rolls her eyes and starts packing her things, i stop lexi, "can you leave the papers with me"

she looks at joey then at me, "sure"

and within minutes she leaves the house without saying bye

joey grabs a slice of pizza and walks over to me, "kiss me baby"

i take a step back, "is diana actually coming over?"

he nods, "she's 5 minutes away"

"why did you invite her?"

"i have some things to talk to her about" he takes a bite from the pizza

"like what?"

"i'm trying to get to know her more and find out what she knows"

"and you think she'll just tell you everything? she only met you two weeks ago" i scoff

joey reaches for my cheek but i push his arm away

"jealous?" he raises a brow

"what no! i just don't like her" i'm not jealous of diana, she looks like a fragile little girl who cries for fun

"why are you so worried?"

is he seriously not getting why i'm frustrated with her coming over? we had lexi come over to give us information, there is no point in diana coming over right now

"you guys are just going to talk, nothing else right?" i cross my arms

"what do you think we're going to do, fuck?" a smirk
grows on his face

"i mean that's what you guys have been doing for a while now"

"don't worry princess," he takes a bite from the bread of the pizza, "even if we do we won't be loud"

"joey!" i swat his arm and he starts laughing, "i'm being serious"

"i have to if she wants too"

"no you don't, you can tell her you have... aids"

joeys eyes widen, "aids?"

i nod

"you're so cute pumpkin"

we hear the door bell ring and my heart drops, joey walks over to the door and i peak from the kitchen

diana walks in with her hair tied... in a ponytail. she wraps her arms around joey and i see them peck each other

"fuck" i whisper

i feel my stomach twist in turn but i can't tell if that's the baby or my jealousy. i was forced to make
a relationship with ethan but joey is only with diana for revenge

i watch them walk upstairs together and that's when i look down at the papers lexi has left

i pick up the picture of pakis and study his face and his background, his younger brother looks oddly
familiar, i just can't put my finger on it

i hear the door slamming shut making me jump in my chair. i have a bad feeling that their going to do a lot more than talk
