i take the last sip of the bottle of beer and throw it to david, "this is so bad"

he catches the bottle in his hand throwing it away, "but you continue doing it"

"i know. i just can't help it" i chuckle

i grab the lighter from the table and light up my third blunt of the day putting it to my lips

"i cant take this" lexi walks into the kitchen

"take what?" david glances at her

lexi looks at me, "it's 11 in the morning and you're already mixed!"

"fuck off lexi" i roll my eyes

"are you not going to do anything about it?" she looks over at david waiting for a response

david doesn't say anything. lexi grabs the blunt in my hands making me groan. she throws it in the sinks

"i'm so sick of this! joey it's been a week and you've killed 4 innocent girls" she looks in my eyes, "and this is my home, i have a 12 year old boy who's now afraid of you! look what you've done"

"this isn't your home" david says

"yes it is" lexi scoffs

"no, it's mine and i'm just being kind enough to let you stay here" david raises a brow

lexi takes a step back, a bit hurt by his words, "really david? because the last time i checked this house is written under elenas names"

"well she isn't here, so it's handed down to me now" he smirks

"no it's handed down to joey. and joey isn't responsible enough right now because you keep continuing to get him drunk" lexi shouts

"he ask for it! it's not my fault him and his perfect little princess got into a fight and now he can't control himself" david fires back

"don't call elena that" i speak, they both look at me

"joey, it's been 7 days and the only thing you know about your kids is that there being held. we keep getting letters with no clues. we might just get into another fight with them and lose. do you remember what happened last time?" lexi's eyes burn into mine

"you were going to die joey. you were pretty much on your last breath when we got to the house. you were never going to see elena and your kids. do you want jay and sophia to grow up without a father again?" lexi's eyes soften

i push her away from me, "shut up lexi. that's not going to happen, i know what i'm doing here. i have everything under control"

"you have everything under control!?" she shouts again, "you have girls over every night. yo-you get drunk by noon and you go out to who knows where. how do you expect for elenas forgiveness when you do these stuff?"

anger rises through me making me want to push her against a wall and punch her till i see her die in my arms, "if you don't shut up lexi i will murder you in front of your own child"

her eyes widen at my words

"please don't do that" i hear a voice, we all turn and see jeremiah standing by the door

he runs over to his mom wrapping his arms around her, "please don't kill her in front of me"

lexi hugs him back with tears rolling down her face, "he won't baby" she calms him down, "now go back to your room and everything will be okay"

"will he hurt you?" his little voice breaks

david and i just stare at them, not really knowing how to react to a little boy crying over his mom
