mike & el

El paced back and forth across the front porch, her eyes watching for Mike to come into her view. She couldn't wait to see him, which clearly showed in the way she couldn't seem to keep still.

Hopper kept glancing out the window, each time shaking his head at her behavior. She was like this every single time Mike came over and he didn't understand why.

Clearly, the man was too blind to see just how happy Mike Wheeler made her.

Soon enough, her boyfriend finally appeared, rolling his bike right alongside him. El's face lit up with a smile and she instantly took off running the short distance to get to him.

Mike had enough time to release the handlebars of his bike and let it fall to the ground, before she practically leapt up into his arms.

El hugged him so tight, as if she hadn't just seen him last night.

In her defense though, it had been longer than usual, since Mike couldn't come over that morning like he always does. His mom had taken him to the mall that had just opened, claiming he was in need of new clothes. Their little shopping spree had taken up most of the day, so it was nearing five in the afternoon when he finally made it to El's.

"Hi." Mike laughed, tightly wrapping his arms around her to return the hug. "Miss me?"

"I always do." She shamelessly admitted, before eagerly leaning up on her tiptoes to kiss him.

Mike happily melted into her sweet kisses, but all too soon they were rudely interrupted by a gruff voice calling out to them.

"Hey!"

The two pulled back, looking as innocent as ever.

Hopper stood in the doorway of the cabin, scowling at the sight. "Cut that out and get inside!"

They nodded and once Hop had gone back in, they snuck a few more seemingly innocent kisses.

"Nice vest." Hop sarcastically commented, once they had finally made it in the cabin.

"Thanks, just got it today at the mall." Mike cheerfully replied, as El pulled him toward her bedroom. He chose to ignore Hop's obvious sarcasm, hoping to annoy the man further.

"Remember, keep the do-"

"Three inches!" They both called out, finishing his sentence for him, since they had heard the phrase more than enough times.

"We got it." El added quickly, before disappearing into her room with Mike, making sure to leave the door open as Hop insisted.

El rushed over to join Mike where he stood, currently slipping his backpack off.

"Did you bring it?" She asked eagerly, practically bouncing up and down with excitement.

Mike nodded and instantly pulled out the mixed tape she was referring to.

"And how many did you put on this one?" She questioned curiously, her bright eyes shining as she looked up at him.

"I think there's seven or eight."

El nodded, seeming satisfied with number then leaned up to softly kiss his cheek.

"We'll save this for later." She grinned, quickly going over and putting the tape in, so it would be ready to go when the time came.

Mike hopped up on her bed, scooting over to sit in the middle like usual. El did the same, sitting as closely to him as possible.

"How was your day?" Mike asked, as she reached over and took his hands in hers.
