FINN
"Well, I'm off to class." Millie announced, while looking solely at him. "Wouldn't wanna be late for that Chem test..."
Finn often noticed her doing this. She would say something meant for all five of them, but he would look up to find her staring at him. Her eyes would bore heavily into his, making it seem like she was speaking only to him.
It was probably just his imagination.
"Definitely not." Finn agreed, quickly shaking his head. "I'll see you later!"
Too much excitement behind that Finn, tone it down.
Millie smiled softly, the sight making his insides warm up. "Bye, Finn."
Damn it. Get a hold of yourself.
"Bye guys!" She said to the others, who he had forgotten were even there. Finn watched her go, the distance between them increasing until she completely disappeared.
There she goes again, the girl I'm in love with...
The girl I'm in love with, who will never love me back.
It's cool. We're just friends.
That's great right?
That's what everyone wants to be with the girl they're in love with.
Just friends.
Every day Finn walks the halls at school with Millie by his side. He couldn't help but long for the days that it's not a casual thing for them to do, that they would walk down the halls truly together, hand in hand.
"Daydreaming about your future girlfriend again, Finnie boy?" Caleb teased from beside him, bringing Finn out of those exact thoughts.
"Yeah, except she's never going to be my girlfriend. I'm not that lucky." Finn groaned, hating that that was the reality of the situation. She would never be his.
"Oh, please. Everyone knows it's meant to be, Finn. You two are gonna fall in love someday, well she'll fall in love with you. All of us can unfortunately see how you're already beyond in love with her.... Well, all of us guys can. Sadie and Millie are clueless."
The others had all gone off to class at this point, so it was just the two of them, thank God. Noah and Gaten knew of his love for their best friend, but Sadie and especially Millie did not. He would prefer if it stayed that way.
Finn smacked Caleb on the arm, not in the mood for any more of his teasing, especially not out in the open like this.
Besides, Finn did enough of that to himself, he didn't need anyone else reminding him that he was in love with a girl he could never have.

MILLIE
Millie sat on her bed, back resting against the headboard, while her legs were crossed. She was supposed to be doing her homework, but was distracted by Finn... Shocker.
She had her phone in hand, laughing as she read her most recent text. Noah had been ranting to her about something Sadie did and while she found it funny, it wasn't what she wanted to be reading about.
She was waiting for a text back from Finn. It had only been about two minutes, but she tended to be a bit impatient when it came to things involving him. This one in particular, was driving her crazy.
