Chapter 32 - Time Machine

'Jack? Jack? You have to wake up, Jack.' I can hear a faint voice call me from a distance. Why is the voice telling me to wake up? Am I asleep? It all feels like a dream to me. What is going on?

'You're going to be okay, Jack. Just don't leave, not now.' another voice told me. From the information I can gather, it seems like I'm dead, wait, I can't be dead while still thinking. Perhaps I am in a coma? Why can't I seem to open my eyes? How did I end up like this? The last thing I remember is being attacked by Jack V2 and...

Oh, right.

'The antidote is ready. Prepare yourself, Jack.' It seems familliar now. That is Dr. Williams' voice, but what antidote is he talking about? Was I poisoned by Jack V2? What even happened to Jack V2? Is he still out there somewhere?

I feel a sharp needle penetrate my skin. The injection is currently in the process. I feel the chemicals enter my blood vessels as I feel my consciousness come back.

'Is he going to be alright?' I can distinguish that to be Blake's voice. Concern and doubt surrounds us while they rely on that antidote to save me.

I'm slowly starting to feel my body again, every muscle, every tendon, every bone in my system. That antidote is working. Hands down, best doctor in the world, Dr. Williams. I think I can now control most of my body, time to open my eyes now. I can see now, crystal sharp.

'Look! He's awake!' Blake said with excitement. I can see her index finger pointing to me. Dr. Williams saw this and he also looked at me.

'Good. Can you talk, Jack?' Dr. Williams asked me. I don't know either. Time to find out.

'Uh.'

'Unintelligible speech. Completely normal. Don't panic yet, let the antidote circulate your body. Give it more time.' Dr. Williams said with confidence but doubt is still noticeable in his voice. I start to look around where we are, and I realized that we're in a laboratory. How am I here? And where is Jack V2? Blake looked at me and saw concern in my eyes. She's trying to anticipate what I'm thinking about.

'Don't worry about Jack V2. He's gone now, but his brain is still with us. We can uncover a lot of mysteries using his brain power, do you know what I mean?' she asked. It looks like the plan worked! I was about to celebrate until I remembered something important and stressful. His damage had already been done.

'0840939814!' I shouted to Travis. Jack V2 is currently attacking Jack. I can't help him at the moment, but what I am doing will save us all. I can hear Travis type in the password and pressed enter. I can tell he is now encoding Jack V2's serial code and trying to find his whereabouts. Where is Dr. Williams?

'Finally, you gave up. Hello there, Blake.' Jack V2 said as he grins at Jack's body. He then looked at me with that horrible grin, suggesting the end of my life as well.

'Travis, hurry up, will you?' I said to him. I can feel sweat of nervousness come down my face while Jack V2 steps closer and closer to me.

'I'm trying my best here.' Travis replied. After I heard that, Jack V2 is just too close to me. I need to get away from him and leave Jack for now. I tried to run away but Jack V2 is pulling me close to him with his gun. This is not good.

'Get away from her.' Dr. Williams said. He threw multiple syringes on Jack V2's direction as if it's a dagger. Jack V2 has seen it, but he was not able to evade it all because he is too busy pulling me. It hit him directly. He screamed in pain and agony while Dr. Williams took this opportunity to go to Jack's body and make an antidote. I need to distract Jack V2 for now.
