Rocket is a missile, spacecraft, aircraft, or another type of vehicle that obtains thrust from its engine. They are very useful and it has helped our space expeditions a lot, but there are some risks along its discovery.
Mankind knew how useful technology can be, but they forget about how dangerous they become on the wrong hands. Destruction was once its major use, not exploration. It caused chaos, not the extension of knowledge. This transformed rockets into nukes. Deadly flying weapons used to destroy territories, kill lives, kill even the planet.
'What? How did you just do that?' Blake asked as confusion and amazement covered her face. Is it possible that she didn't know how to fool people? Or perhaps she is shocked that people here are so gullible.
'This necklace means your a higher-up. I snatched it from one of the superiors the first time I got here.' he whispered to us. His espionage skills has not faded yet.
'Why didn't your assistant allow us to go through it with Ghost Phase?' Blake asked me.
'There are certain surfaces that the human body can't withstand. I don't think this door will allow us to go through. The assistant is able to sense that.' I answered.
'In addition to that, they are able to detect if someone is inside without accessing the door.' Dr. Williams answered as well. This base is placing privacy at a whole new level.
'Just to be clear, what are we trying to do? Destroy the nukes here? Launch them somewhere else? Or launch them directly at Jack V2?' Blake asked behind us while walking. She has this worried look on her face which she can't seem to wipe off.
We continue to walk in this hallway full of doors with tags above them stating what it has inside. Nowadays, I rarely see humans work in places like this because we rely too much on AI, but I suspect that someone is patrolling these rooms through cameras. I better look for one just in case.
Given the situation, I think its weird that no one is reacting to our sudden presence inside this room. It's even weirder to think that this place has no cameras. I am having a bad feeling about this. We can't even use Invisibility because it will raise suspicions that three people entered the door but are not visible.
'We're going with my plan of destroying Jack V2's base.' Dr. Williams responded and looked back at Blake. His facial expression changed when she made eye contact with Blake, and he automatically knows what's up.
'What's with that look, Dr. Williams?' Blake asked.
'You're worried that Jack meeting himself in this world will kill him, aren't you?' he asked directly, stepping back to get closer to Blake.
'Yeah. I'm worried about meeting the other me too. You know, Blake V2.' she replied. I haven't even thought of that. Is there even a version of Blake that exists here?
'Here it is. The control panel room which holds all control over the nukes.' Dr. Williams said and pressed a button at the left of the door which lit up and opened it.
'Trouble.' the words escaped my lips involuntarily. Robots are positioned to shoot at us at every angle inside the room. I knew it.
I was prepared to get shot at that moment as I close my eyes, but my demise is not now, not today. I opened my eyes and saw Blake with the Gravity Gun in her hand. Well, at least a small one. She was effectively blocking the bullets, but because of the gun's small size, we knew its effectivity was limited. Dr. Williams threw a small bottle inside the room and in just a few seconds, the robots shutted down.
'What just happened there?' I asked. I was personally shocked at what just happened. Everything happened so fast, I wasn't able to keep up.
'I was expecting this to happen. That bottle has a small electromagnet which disables those bots.' he said as we walked in the room. I can see the complicated gadgets around here. It was mind-blowing! How can a human even design this?
'How did you know at what frequency those robots were going to shut down without damaging the other bots around here?' Blake asked. That was a reasonable question, but I don't think we have enough time to talk. The moment those robots break loose of the electromagnet, they will notify the base about our infiltration.
'I designed them. They were originally back at my base but they had a spy come over and took some data about it and replicated it here. Those cheap copy cats.' Dr. Williams said.
'I'll just destroy them with this gun.' she replied while aiming the small Gravity Gun at them.
'Don't! Destroying the main motherboard of that will send out a notification to everyone in this base about its destruction. I don't want any more distractions as I work.' Dr. Williams said. I wonder what he means about distractions, either its our conversation or the enemies getting to us.
I can see Dr. Williams work his butt off. I was watching the door, ready to knock out anyone who goes in while Blake is keeping an eye on the robots. As I can observe, Dr. Williams is trying to look for Jack V2's base on the map, and yes, I refer to him that way. We are still individual humans after all living in the same space.
'We are ready to launch.' Dr. Williams said. Me and Blake approached him and saw Jack V2's base. It was placed in coordinates where humans can't even survive. I mean, how can he even make a base that big there?
'Is he inside?' I asked.
'I don't think so.'
'I remember that building. That was the small miniature building Travis made back home. We used devices that expands small things to huge buildings just like my house back at my home, I mean, before it self-destructed.' she replied. I see, so that's how he had a base there. No one can live in Antartica though. It's too cold for humans to handle.
Out of nowhere, a black ellipse-shaped ring appeared across the room and someone walked out. Wait, is that me?
'What in the world.' Dr. Williams said.
'He used the Portal Teleporter. A device used to travel long distances by opening a door. He stole it from me back then.' Blake said to us as we were backing off.
The other me completely phased through the portal. He looked a lot like me, in fact, he is me! What happens between our interaction will explain how two versions of one existing person in the same plane of reality will react. This will solve a lot of theories and possibly help the future.
'Very well said, Blake.' he said with a cold voice seeking to kill.
Jack V2 looked at me with this judging glare on his eyes. This is not going to be pretty.
'I would like to thank you for taking down those robots and programming the entire system to fire. It saved me the trouble of doing it myself.' he said with this evil grin while approaching us.
'What do you want?' Dr. Williams said.
'What do I want? I just want to do experiment on this world. See the limits, see the effects of destruction, see how this world will kill itself with my help of course. I want to know how much trouble people will do just to fix this broken world. Well, your people are killing each other after all.' he said with this haunting and cold tune of talking.
'You're making those people kill each other!' Blake said.
'Well, I was going to do this in our own world, Blake. Just be glad its not happening at our own home.' he replied back, giggling at the end of his statement.
I'm frozen, literally frozen at my spot. I can't believe it, it's like seeing a long lost twin.
'Now you three, please be nice puppets and step aside. I have somewhere else to launch those nukes to.' he said.
'We won't!' Dr. Williams said and tried to push the launch button. However, Jack V2 was able to pull him up and throw him against the wall, knocking him out in the process. Blake went to tend to Dr. Williams' injuries immediately, and I am here stuck facing myself.
'That's right. Stay frozen there. It's funny how one person differs in different dimensions. I am you. Another version of you. You are me. Another version of me. Looks like you're a coward.' he said. I was still standing there, frozen.
He went to the control panel and immediately programmed it to launch at our allied base. Not good. I have to do something, but shock fills my mind.
