Chapter 6 - Knocked Out

We were about to open the Recording when out of nowhere, we heard a few tiptoes coming from outside the room, perhaps going from the Elevator to the corridor. Blake positioned her hand next to her mouth with the pointing finger up, motioning me to stay quiet. She pressed a button and a Control Panel showed up, looks like it's for the table. Wait, I forgot that this is not my world.

I looked at what she was doing but when I got closer, she whispered to me, 'What are you doing? Go hide! They don't know that you're another person. I just need to hide this from them.'

This place has a lot of hiding spots, might be because of the number of tables they have here. There's also some computers and machines I can hide behind but I whispered to my Assistant, 'Activate Invisibility Field.' What? Surprised? I'm not a scientist for nothing. I sneakily hid under the table furthest to the door, you might think I'm crazy but I have my reasons.

Two Officers came in the room. Luckily, Blake has finished hiding all the equipment we just used and she is talking to them now. I can hear their conversation, a little silent.

'We just have a few questions we have to ask you.' one officer said. I mean, who let them in here in the first place? Couldn't they knock downstairs or, oh wait, this is a different world. Right.

'Okay, go on. I'm ready.' I heard her say.

'Jack Smith has been reported to be spotted around this area, specifically inside of this laboratory. Where is he?' the cop asked Blake. They are talking about me, this is not going to be a fun day. I just found a way to go home but now someone is hindering me, great.

'He is not here.' Blake said. Good thing she's protecting me. I heard someone come in the room through the door and I went to take a look. It's Travis, what is he doing here? He's just standing in the middle of the doors, not allowing it to close. I checked my arms and yes, I am still invisible. I carefully went up, walked towards the door, glide through Travis, and went outside. Can't believe they didn't know I passed through them.

'I know you're lying, where is he? Tell us!' I heard the cop said. Jeez, demanding.

'Blake, stop the lying. Show us where he is, now!' and then it hit me hard, it was Travis. He reported me to the cops. Oh dear, he really didn't understand anything about Astronomy.

'Either you talk, or I make you talk.' the cop said. I can see that he pulled a stick from his pocket. I went ahead and find another safe place to hide. Luckily, I implanted a microphone and a camera inside of the room so I can still see and hear them even when I'm away. Hopefully, they won't find it.

I hid in the bathroom because no one will ever think I'm there, right? We'll see. I went ahead and open up my Assistant and I whispered once more, 'Open up Camera System 1 and Audio System 2.'

A projection went out of my watch and there it is, I can see what's happening. I can hear it too. I can see Blake fighting off the cops, the stick from earlier ejected out a light beam colored black, not a good sign. Blake is using one of those things as well, no idea what they're called but whatever. I can see Travis in the background.

'You don't have to struggle, Blake. He is a criminal! Why are you protecting him?' one cop said. I can see the other cop was knocked out on the floor.

'He is not! You don't understand anything about what's going on so why even care?' Blake shouted. This is not going to end good, I just know it won't. Travis and the cop teamed up on Blake and because of their strength and power, Blake lost. Travis held Blake like a hostage, starting to shout something.

'Jack! I know you're here. If you want this girl to live, reveal yourself. Now!' he screamed. Family Relationships in this place are by far the strangest. I mean, that girl is his sister, what was he thinking? I can't let her get harmed by this huge misunderstanding, although we are both innocents at the end of the day.

I ran outside. I waited for the Elevator to come to my floor and then I rode it, hurry up Elevator, this is no time to be slow. When I reached the top, I disabled my Invisibility and went outside and into the room.

'I am here, don't hurt her.' I shouted at them. 'Like, what is wrong with this place? Siblings here hostages each other? What?' I continued.

'Shut up! You don't know what we do for money. Now give me the bounty before I let you have him.' Travis said. I mean, I'm not under his possession yet, what is he talking about? And by the way, would he really sacrifice his sister for money? What if I didn't show up? This world is going to drive me insane sooner than you think.

'This won't hurt a bit.' I hear Travis whispered to Blake and then he knocks her out, great. What are siblings for in this world? I guess money.

'I know you won't come with us without a fight, so here you go. Have fun!' Travis said and winks at me. What did he do now? I look behind me and my question was answered when I saw some mutated Venus Fly Traps. I took a shot with my camera using my Assistant for future references, you know, back to Earth stuff.

I can already tell that this is going to end in a fight. Travis locked the door and trapped me in the corridor with this killer plants. I remembered that time when Blake gave me a weapon so I fired it up and used it. Okay plants, either you burn or you die. One vine tried to strangle my feet and I swung my sword at it. I battled this damn plant like my life depended on it, well, it was but in a more serious tone. The vine took disarmed me of my weapon, making me susceptible to damage and I can't defend myself. I quickly realized that we're no longer in a forest, meaning I can cause a fire. This place is made of either Stone, Lime Stone, Marble or actual metal so it's safe from burning.

The vines swiftly curled around me, wrapping me in like a mummy. Is this how I'm gonna die? Will I get myself digested alive? Hell no. I quickly took out one of my Audio System 1 and opened it. I do know that there is a battery inside it, a Lithium-ion Battery, programmed to cause a fire when exposed to even the smallest heat. I began to rub my hands together with the Battery between my hands and it caused a fire. I threw it at the plant and it burnt it, magnificently.

I went to the laboratory door to confront Travis but all I can remember was a cop punching me in the head, making me passed out and knocked out. Oh dear.
