TDSOH #24: Accident

-Kiera's POV-

It's been a while since the day I finally answered Liam being his official girlfriend. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa din ako makapaniwala. Simula kasi nung sinagot ko siya ay patuloy niya pa ding ginawa yung mga routine nung nanliligaw pa siya sakin.

He said, he will continue to court me even if I'm his girlfriend now. I find it corny at first but then I realized, he just want me to feel his love for me. Kaya paulit ulit kong sasabihing 'Im very lucky to have him'.

Today is April 18 and it is my 15th birthday. Like the usual, this day is just ordinary for me and I am not expecting a surpise to everyone. I know they will never do that.

*RING*

My phone rang. Nakita kong tumatawag si Liam sakin. My heart skip a beat seeing his name on my phone. So, I answered.

"Hello, Liam?"

[ Happy Birthday, honey. ]

He's the first one greeted me today.

Argh! He's endearment to me! Hindi talaga ako sanay. Never ko pang ginamit sa kanya yung 'honey' na tawagan sana namin. Alam niya iyon dahil nahihiya talaga ako. I am not used to it.

"Thank you, Liam. Ikaw ang unang unang bumati sakin ngayong araw." I smiled as I said it.

[ Alam ko, haha! Sinadiya kong tumawag sayo ng maaga para ako ang unang babati sa girlfriend ko. ]

I blushed. That girlfriend thingy!

I turn around to see the wallclock behind me, it's 7 am in the morning and I am still here in my room.

"It doesn't matter to me if ever hindi nila matandaan ang araw ngayon, Liam." I sadly said.

[ Don't say that, honey. That's your family! Of course they would remember it. ] he said trying to lift up my mood.

I sigh at the though of even if they are my family and more closes to me, they don't usually remember my birthday. Sa pamilya ko NGAYON, kaarawan ko lang ang laging kinakalimutan.

"Maybe someday I'll believe what you are saying, haha!" I tried to laugh but then a tear escape on my right eye.

[ Kiera.. ]

"I am okay, Liam don't worry. I am used to it everytime this day would come."

I dry my tears with my thumb. Why am I crying? For the past years that everytime my birthday is coming.. I thought I am used to it already. Damn it!

[ Don't also worry because I will go there today. I prepared something for you. ] I imagined him smiling while saying that.

"You don't have to do anything, Liam. Being with you is enough."

Siya kasi madalas ang kasama ko kapag araw ng birthday ko simula noong naging kami dahil hindi naman naalala ng mismong ama ko. I know he's busy with the business, but is it too much that he can't just greet me?

Ayoko na laging gumagastos si Liam para sakin. Okay lang kung minsan pero kasi nakakasanayan niya na dahil hindi naman ako makatanggi. He always say he insist.
