Chapter 53

Nia POV
I pulled into a parking spot. Then got out walking up to the door. "Lady killa." Some boy said. "Nah we ain't together so y'all can stop calling me that bullshit." I said as I walked upstairs. "Wassup Nia." "Hey trey." "What you doing here?" "Doing me. Why you worried." I said knocking on bosses door. "Come in." I opened the door. "Nia how can I help you?" "Me and Xai aren't together anymore and now I'm staying in mateos house." "So you need somewhere to stay?" "Yeah kinda.." "Well I can get you a nice condo if you want?" "Really? That would be great." "Meet me tomorrow by Riverside at 2:00 pm. And we'll go on from there." "Okay I'll be there. Thank you so much." He nodded and then I walked out and drove back to mateos house.

"Where were you?" Lannie asked. "I had somethings to do. What happened when I left?" "He came downstairs and started cursing and screaming then he got in his car and left." "Hmm. You staying?" "No I have to go Eli wants to chill." "Okay where did Jilly go?" "Home she said she needed to get ready for her trip." "Okay well I'll be upstairs." She nodded. 

Next day..
I woke up and did my daily routine which consisted of brushing my teeth, doing my hair, lotion, cleaning and washing my face. I put on some white ripped jeans and a brown shirt with a matching belt and some brown sandals. I felt my phone vibrating it was Mateo so I answered.
Me- Hello
Him- Yoo how's it going?
Me- it's good
Him- Ight I'll be home in 3 days. You betta not be fucking in my house
Me- Boy I ain't fucking nobody I respect you and your house
Him- I know I'm just messing wit you
Me- Mmhm
He started laughing.
Him- ight bye
With that he hung up he's a mess. It was now 11:00 so I decided to drive to the spot Julian wanted me to go to. As I drove I started thinking about me and Xai's relationship. I went through so fucking much. But I guess not everyone can always get what they want. I miss baby Noah so much. But I can't go back, I'm only going back to get my clothes.

I sat in the car until he told me he was there. Then I got out and walked in. "Heyy." "Wassup you look good." "Thank you. You don't look to bad yourself." We complemented as we hugged. We then sat down. Why do I have a feeling this is going to be awkward. "So what do you have planned for today?" "I have to meet up with someone later. He's going to be showing me a condo." "Wait so you and Xai recently broke up?" I nodded. "I'm sorry. How are you feeling?" "I'm good it isn't that big of a deal. Somethings just don't work out and I'm fine with that." "That's a good mindset to have." The waiter came and asked us what we would like to drink. I ordered a green tea and he ordered a sprite. "So what're you thinking about doing now that you are free?" "Going back to work. And getting to know myself better." "That's good." I nodded. This is awkward. "Here you are. Are you two ready to order?" "Yeah I'll have the chicken pasta." "And I'll have the panini." "Okay coming right up." She said. Me and Julian eventually got our conversation back up and started laughing. Unfortunately we had to cut it short because it was getting closer to 2. "Thank you for lunch you really helped me get out of my mood." "No problem thanks for coming. I had a great time." With that we hugged and I left.

I arrived at Riverside Condos. I got out the car and called him.
Him- Second Floor Room 104
With that he hung up. Really? I could've texted him if that was the case. I walked inside and got on the elevator. I got out on the second floor. I eventually made it to room 104. I opened it and there it was a nice condo. Tile floors and white walls. "Ohh..wow this is...beautiful." "All for you." I rolled my eyes then turned around. "What are you doing here?" "I understand that you want things your way and with a lot of thinking I'm finally fine with that. So I decided to buy you a penthouse instead of this it's on the 10th floor." "I don't want anything from you." "Come on nia think of it as a gift." He came closer smelling like his usual weed and cologne. "Just accept this one thing from me and I'll leave you alone." I thought about it as he came closer and closer.. I grabbed him as our lips smashed against each other. "I want you." He said quietly. "I..I can't." "Nia we been through too much I can't just throw that away... I love you." "Still Xai you are always telling me what I can and can't do. Like you have control over me but I just want to be free. I'm out of school now and I need to know what ima do with my life. And I don't need your help with that." "I just want to be in your life again. You know in relationships there's arguments but people move past it. So why can't we?" "I can't not right now maybe in the future." He nodded. "Fine I don't care as long as I can be with you. If it's the future then I'll wait."
