He'll never forget the first photo he took of you.
It was on your first date a few years ago, back in Radiant Garden. The sky was a mixture of pinks, purples and oranges from the sun setting. The flowers you both laid in danced slowly in the wind filling the air with their sweet scents. Lea snapped the photo with his phone without you knowing, eyes closed and basking in the sun rays that turned your skin gold, hair blowing gently in the wind and a serene smile on your face. The photo, he knew, would never do justice to what was right in front of him, but it was a physical keepsake of the moment that was forever embedded into his mind. The moment he knew he was hopelessly in love with you.
Sitting up reclined against the bed frame, Lea flicked through his phone through his photo album as you slept peacefully at his side. The second photo that came up was a selfie of the two of you enjoying a day on the beach. Lea was kissing your cheek playfully, your sunglasses half off your face and laughing away. The sounds of your giggles rang in his ears even now, making him chuckle at the image.
The next one was a more intimate image: a black and white photo of you sleeping on your tummy, bare back exposed and your hair splayed elegantly in every direction. The moonlight from the window shone down on your warm skin, accenting your curves perfectly. Memories of that evening flowed through his mind, how he had kissed every inch of you softly yet passionately, the feeling of your soft skin on his lips and fingertips. It was the first night of many like these, each one better than the last, but that night always resonated a special place in his heart. In the midst of sweat and pleasurable moans, he confessed his love to you, and you to him.
His thoughts were interrupted when you stirred next to him. Stretching your arms above your head, your tired eyes met his and smiled.
"Whatcha doing?"
"Just looking at some old photos," Lea said and shifted closer to you, bringing his arms around your middle and extending the phone in front of your face. You took a lazy finger and swiped to the next image, softly giggling.
"I remember this day," you mused. "The annual flower festival at the castle."
Lea hummed contently, vibrating softly against your back. You were centered in the photo holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers that Lea had gotten for you, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear as you smiled at the camera. Swiping to the next one, it was another selfie of the two of you in the center of the town, the festival slightly blurred in the background. The day was full of laughter and delicious foods, and one very big surprise: a proposal in the very same gardens of your first date.
You extended your arm out and gazed at the diamond that rested on your finger, heart fluttering at the idea of marrying your betrothed. Lea took your hand and kissed each of your fingers tenderly before meeting his lips with yours, the taste of lingering peppermint toothpaste filling your mouth. Your hands reached up to his hair, fingers tangling in his long red locks as the kiss deepened. A sudden sound of a snap cut through the air, and you opened an eye to look above your head to the camera.
"Really, Lea!? Now??"
"I couldn't help it! I want to get this moment memorized forever," he laughed.
Rolling your eyes, you gave him one last kiss before nestling into the crook of his neck, his warmth already lulling you back to sleep. You smiled as you felt Lea's lips kiss your forehead, whispering one more 'I love you' until sleep befell you again.
