Chapter Thirty-Two - Let Me Save You

(*Excuse any errors)

Time Jump...

-Jordan-

I finally convinced Blaine to call his uncle. It wasn't easy but after asking a million times he gave in. Not sure if fate brought him here but he ended up coming to the place his mom wanted him to, just a different city. Ridge Creek is an hour's drive from Northwood which means, Blaine has lived an hour away from his uncle all these years.

When he called, his uncle started crying because he thought Blaine had died after leaving Elk Haven. He was more than happy to invite us over to stay for a weekend so that Blaine can meet his cousins.

Of course, Blaine was nervous and he debated on whether he wanted to go. I assured him that I'd be by his side through it all. The past two months have been surprisingly uneventful which I was grateful for. Blaine and I have spent most of our time together and we made more efforts to join the pack members for movie nights.

Blaine's therapy is going well and his seizures are more spread out. He still has some bad days but it's getting better. As for me, I've been sober for three months, on stressful days I get urges but I never act on them.

"Jordan?" Blaine asks groggily.

"Morning sunshine! We're five minutes away." I say grabbing his hand and kissing it. He yawns as he sits up with squinted eyes. His hair is widely tousled and the RR logo is deeply stamped into the side of his face. He's adorable. "What time is it?" He asks before sitting back.

"8:37 AM," I say looking down at the monitor. He yawns again and pulls the mirror down. "Jesus...I look like a wild animal," He frowns. You are a wild animal Blaine, well, half of one if we're being technical.

"You look cute," I say taking a quick glance at him. "I wouldn't look like this if you didn't wake me up at the ass crack of dawn! We really could have left at noon." He fumes as he tries desperately to fix his hair.

"You're the one that said we'd leave in the morning..." I retaliate.

"Well, you should know that when I say morning it means whenever I wake up!" He groans. Blaine's sleeping habits are slightly concerning. He sleeps until noon and goes to sleep at around eight o'clock. That's more than eight hours, not including the many naps he takes throughout the day.

"I'm sorry sleeping beauty, we can sleep all you want later. We're here." I say as we drive through a white metal gate. The houses are uninformed and they're all painted with muted colors. The grass looks unrealistically green and decorative bushes add flare to the monotoned homes.

"I'm nervous. What if he doesn't like me?" Blaine asks sinking into the seat. I look over at him, "He's going to like you, he sounded so happy on the phone." I assure him calmly. He remains quiet as I pull into the driveway of a beige and white-colored house with a grey car parked out front.

Blaine runs his hand through his hair and exhales loudly. "It's gonna be okay." I grab his hand and place a quick kiss on it. He smiles before we both hop out. I grab our suitcases and follow him to the front door. He hesitates before knocking.

A moment passes before the door flies open and a tall man with greying hair pulls Blaine into a bear hug. For a moment, he freezes before hugging him back.

"I'm so happy that you're here. It's been way too long." The man mumbles over Blaine's shoulders. I hear Blaine sniffle before pulling away. "Aw look at you, you're so tall now...last time I saw you, you were  so tiny." He cheers.
