I could feel this horrible high pitch ringing to my ears, it rang directly through it as if I was hearing a dog whistle and I was the dog. I struggled to open my eyes, feeling so heavy and as if they had been stapled shut, but finally when I did, I found myself looking up at an ceiling which was entirely made out of glass. I could see the pouring rain hitting the glass as if it was falling right on me and the dull grey sky which I always wished for it to disappear, looked so good to just stare up at. I felt a throbbing pain in my arm, as if I was being poked with a sharp nail over and over and as I lifted my head to look down at it, I saw my exposed torso, making me instantly gasp.
I was only in my undergarments.
Suddenly all of the pain in my body disappeared once coming to the realisation that I had been undressed by these people after being injected by some fluid in an injection needle that I had no clue when it had been cleaned or if it was clean at all.
I was on the cold ground which seemed to feel colder now that I knew I no longer had Jason's shirt on. I looked down to see my other hand had been hand cuffed to the pipe that ran along the entirety of the ground, pinching my skin.
The sound of a door scraping open alerted me out from the my train of thought about my cuffed hand, diverting my attention to the entrance which is where a familiar face stood.
Cole.
I felt exposed, exploited to say the least and it didn't help that I only had one arm to conceal my body and so as I brought my legs up to my chest, pressing my back against the cold wall, he approached me.
He crouched down in front of me, his eyes were red as if he hadn't slept in days or was extremely high of some sort of drug. "How are you feeling?" His question made me feel as shocked as ever, not knowing why he'd even bother asking me such a formal question that was completely irrelevant to the situation right now.
When I didn't reply, I could see he knew why instantly.
"Where are my clothes?" I managed to get out, making him glance down at my unprotected body which sent shivers down my spine as to how vulnerable I really was.
"Who knows" It seemed more of a statement rather than a question as he muttered it, just high enough for me to actually comprehend what he had said. "Where am I? Why am I here?" I took this as my opportunity to speak my mind, he was the only person I really thought I'd get an answer from, and it was worth a try.
He shook his head, "if I told you that, I'd either have to kill you, or get killed myself" He answered, completely unbothered and freely as if it were the easiest thing to say.
"We're not friends, we never were and never will be. I'm carrying out my job and it's your job to stay quiet and do as we say and nobody gets hurt," he paused as he reached up and pushed my hair behind my ear making me flinch away from him.
He chuckled, continuing, "Let's just say that your clothes should be the least of your worries right now"
Before he could continue further, the sound of banging on the wall next to the closed door he came in through before interrupted him. "Hurry it up Cole" With that, Cole took out a key from his back pocket before pushing my shoulder back roughly enough so that he had access to the handcuffs.
"What's going on?" I asked as his pace now picked up, un-cuffing me from the pole and grabbing my arm roughly to where he could pull me up.
"You are getting on a plane and will be landing in Brazil, it'll be the last I see of you for a while and I really hope you keep that mouth shut because it'll get you in more trouble over there than you think"
I didn't have much time to retaliate or to even reply to his words because I was so consumed. As he pulled me in front of him, the word 'Brazil' rang through my head like an echo. They were taking me to Brazil? Why? Out of all places, why Brazil? Who were these people that I was now being 'handed over to' like I was a little piece of meat and why was he acting as if they were scarier than the people I had come across now. I don't know how long I had been away from home but it felt like forever, a forever in what felt like hell. It couldn't get any worse than this.
A cloth was placed over my mouth and once again, I was out like a light. I was just glad I hadn't been injected once again, for what felt like the 100th time so far.
It was times like this where I wondered the state of Jason, not knowing where I was and who I was with... I wished only for him to figure this out faster because I was broken, literally.
I didn't know how much more I could take, I was afraid I'd give up.
