~ 6 Months Later ~

I walked in to the living room, my eyes settling on the two beauties laid out of the couch. Jason was laying on the couch, fast asleep, with my niece, Ari, lying on his chest, cuddled up with her as he had his arms wrapped around her. They were both sleeping as if they hadn't slept in days.

"Oh, you better put a ring on it soon girl" My sister sang as she stood next to me.

I looked at her grinning as I imagined proposing to Jason. He would literally kill me if I ever proposed to him and it was because he believed that was the role of a man. I'm just guessing he wants the chance to get on his one knee and show me a beautiful ring.

Either way, I wasn't complaining.

We both left the living room seeing Ethan, Sofia's fiancé, stood in the hallway.

"Well hello you beautiful chocolate and vanilla swirl" Sofia sang as she joined him before kissing him making me literally cringe at the nickname. I remember it specifically because Ethan came up with it after hearing it on 'orange is the new black' and since he was black and white, he insisted on being called the 'choc & nilla' swirl.

"Hey Miss Sav" He smiled as he hugged me.

"Could you please keep your kisses out of my sight, Sofia" I jokingly said as she purposely kissed his face all over.

"I'm paying you back for you and Jason" She replied, referring to Jason and I making out and her happening to just walk in.

"Speaking of Jason, where is the boy?" Ethan asked.

Just as he finished his sentence, we all turned to look at Jason who was now leaving the living room, yawning as he closed the double doors behind him, leaving a little gap probably because Ari was still in there and probably sleeping.

"There he is" Sofia replied as the pair of them did the same bro hug all boys did, greeting one another as Sofia gave me 'the look' making me laugh.

"I don't hear Ari, you tellin me you put her to sleep again?" Ethan asked laughing. Let's just say Ari was not the easiest sleeper, as she got older, her habits were changing and so she had realised that her sleeping meant she was missing out on vital play hours and so therefore, Sofia and Ethan always ended up pulling their hair out putting her to sleep at night.

But Jason managed to do it every time. What more could you ask for in a man?

"What can I say? I'm a talented ass guy" Jason replied as he wrapped his arms around my upper body from behind, kissing my cheek making me smile as he continued his conversation with Ethan and Sofia.

"You ready to leave?" Jason asked as he came and stood in front of me.

I nodded, "Well, Mom is passed out and she'd probably kill you both for waking her up right now, so I'll let her know you left" Sofia spoke making me laugh as I nodding, hugging her goodbye as well as Ethan, joining Jason again.

He took my hand in his before we left the house.

As we drove home, Jason's hand stayed in mine, each finger locked together as if he were too afraid to let go- which was probably true. It was like... what happened a few months ago was just a memory of my past, a very very distant memory. Everything just seemed so... safe. I could leave the house without feeling like somebody was watching me and Jason could let me out of his sight without worrying about whether he'd see me again or not. And don't get me started on his upgrade in security. It was as if he had invented protection, there was no other way of putting it. He was just careful in the smoothest way and of course, we had our arguments about him being too protective or careful, but it always worked out in the end.

Because Jason prioritised me more than anything, more than ever.

"Baby?" I felt Jason's hand on my thigh, gently squeezing it to snap me out of my train of thought as I looked over at him, realising we were home.

"You okay?" He asked, it was like he could smile through his eyes, I knew that was possible but it was mostly possible through Jason.

"Yes..." I trailed off, leaning forwards and kissing his lips.

"I love you" I smiled, looking in to his eyes.

He chuckled, caressing my thigh "I love you more, sweetheart" He replied before he stepped out of the car and came over to my side, opening the door for me.

We walked in to our home, the main entry lights flickering on through the sensors as we walked up the steps and towards our bedroom.

"I love your sweatshirts baby, but I think it's getting a little hot to be wearing them everywhere, just saying" I commented laughing as we entered our room. Let's just say Jason was a little extra protective when it came to my own life, not that he was super crazy about what I wore and whatever, it was just... he was a little more cautious. Especially when I was out without him.

"You can take it off at home, sweetheart, ain't no reason you gotta wear it around me" He smirked as I pulled it off of my body, leaving me in my bra. I looked at him as he was probably shocked by my straight forward ness but as I grinned, it soon faded away as I turned my head to look past him, a figure catching my eye.

"Oh my god" I breathed out, my body instantly shaking, almost shutting down as Jason frowned. He turned around to look at what I was staring at and within seconds, I felt Jason pulling me behind him,

"Alex?"
