| Savanna |

I hadn't yet fallen asleep. I was so tired but I kept waking up every half hour or 20 minutes in to my sleep, to the point where I now just sat up and didn't even bother. Jason had gotten me some clothes from the house for me to sleep in but when I said clothes, I meant a couple of his own shirts as he knew how much I loved wearing them and I guess it was just a way of him being with me, without him actually being here. Ryan came back once to get some files from his office and asked if I needed anything but other than that, I was alone. Questions fabricated my mind and I just wanted some answers which was partly the reason why I was still awake. And then the fact that Jason was not next to me during these times meant that I was tossing and turning and wanting nothing more but to have him with me again. I could only imagine how tired he was and on top of that, his anger.

I heard the vibration of my phone buzzing on the bed as I looked out of the large window ahead of me which was right opposite the bed, it had a great view. I walked back to the bed to see that Jason was calling my phone. I quickly answered, putting the phone to my ear,

"Why are you still awake?" Was his first question,

"I can't sleep" I spoke back, my voice small as I sat at the end of the bed.

"Well at least try to sweetheart," he continued making me nod which I then remembered how he couldn't actually see what I was doing so I quickly agreed.

"You sound so tired Jase... why don't you come back? There's always tomorrow" I suggested referring to him pursuing his work tomorrow.

"You know I can't Sav, I told you not to worry about me anyway. I want you to go to sleep because I know how you always wake up so early and possibly I'll be with you in the morning, okay?" He semi assured, which kind of gave me hope.

"Okay" Pausing for a couple seconds as it fell silent, I spoke up again.

"I love you Jason" I said, briefly closing my eyes as I heard him sigh lightly on the other end.

"I love you so much more princess... remember that"

After we said our goodbyes for the night, I set my phone down on my lap as I stared out of the window at the flashing lights on the tall building ahead of me. Jason was a perfectionist in a way, he did his job and made sure there were no errors and in this case, he wouldn't stop until the people who did this were found and held accountable for their actions. In a way that only Jason would decide on, and I didn't doubt it would be a simple warning at all. Jason was mad, and when he was mad, there was no going back on your wrong actions.

I yawned, rubbing my eyes before I went over and set my phone down on one of the side tables. I looked over to see the glass I had filled up with water, was now empty and so I picked it up and left the room. I walked down the hallway and in to the living area, the kitchen in sight, I walked towards it. Once I got to the sink, I couldn't help but feel as if I was being watched, or that there was a presence around and as I turned and looked around the entire room, living room and all, i realised it was only my imagination that had made me panic. As I filled my glass with water, I turned around to the sound of heavy footsteps. I looked towards the corner, seeing two large figures appear in front of me.

It was the two guards Jason had sent to watch over the apartment from outside.

Not from the inside.

Instantly, I jumped from shock at how they appeared out of no where, dropping my glass of water making it smash in to small pieces along with the water puddling the ground.

"What- what are you doing in here?" I asked, my voice shaking as they just stood ahead of me. One of them turn around and began doing something on the counter, his big body made it hard for me to see what he was doing but either way, I was terrified.

"We are here on orders, this can be easy if you just cooperate with us" The guy who was still facing me spoke, his voice was so deep and scary I had shivers just hearing it.

Orders? Cooperation? What was going on.

The other guy had now turned around and in his hand was a small dark bottle and the other hand was a white cloth which looked damp. I put two and two together and I was able to understand what was going on here, as much as I didn't want to.

My first instinct was to run around the kitchen in the only direction that was open for me to run in and so I did. I rushed past them, avoiding the glass on the floor which fell to my advantage as it slowed them down. I managed to get out of the kitchen, running down the hallway which I didn't even know where it led as this was Ryan's apartment, I knew barely anything. But I knew that I could just stand there and let these two people do whatever to me.

My heart beat like crazy as I ran in to one of the rooms, I quickly locked the door before I pulled he dresser with all my strength in front of the door, I then back up against the wall, looking around me to see if there was any way I could get myself out of here but since Ryan's floor was right at the top, there was no safe way for me to leave out of the window. I looked around trying to find something to defend myself with, anything at all, but it was too late. They pounded on the door, threatening that if I didn't hand myself over willingly, it would be worse for me. But I knew either way if I willingly went to them or I put up a fight, things would be worse for me anyway. So I continued looking and by the time I had the chance to rummage through the drawers to find something, they had both burst through the door sending the dresser to the side, breaking down the door.

They both launched for me, one of them grabbed ahold of my body, wrapping his arm around my neck and the other around my waist holding my arms down. The other poured the substance on to the cloth again as I struggled against his grip, doing everything in my power to wriggle out but there was no use, he was bigger, taller and so much stronger than me and I was completely drained from running and then struggling for so long, I literally was out of breath.

I felt tears flood from my eyes as the other guy placed he cloth against my mouth, blocking my nose from breathing and as much as I held my breath, at some point, I had to breathe in.

Tears fell from my eyes like a fountain and eventually, I breathed in. He let go off me and I took this as my chance to run away but the substance I had breathed in made my brain burn, my eyes water and my body to feel numb- it was like I was drunk but 10000x worse.

My eyes closed and I felt myself lose all sense of reality, my hands fell numb and after that,

All I saw was darkness.
