Nadatnan ko si Chelsea na nakadapa sa bed nya. I'm sure she noticed me and Joaquin enter her room pero parang hindi nya kami nakita pa.
Nakatingin lang sya sa book na nasa harap nya. Busy ba talaga sya sa binabasa? She's been like this lately, parang invisible kaming lahat sa kanya. Ano kaya ang nasa isip ng batang ito.
I thought okay na kami after naming bumalik ni Deanna from Siargao. Kinausap ko na sya nang masinsinan when I noticed na parang nagseselos nga sya kay Joaquin.
She promised me before that she won't be jealous anymore pero ngayon iba na naman ang ipinapakita nya.
"Chelsea, are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes." she replied without looking at me.
Ay, may sumpong yata, Jessica.
Napilitan akong umupo sa tabi nya. Si Joaquin naman ay naglilikot kaya inilapag ko sya sa tabi ng Ate nya.
"What did I say when someone is talking to you?" tanong ko.
"To look them in the eye." sagot nya.
"Okay. I'm talking to you right now." I patiently said.
Ayaw pa rin tumingin sa akin kaya tinawag ko uli sya.
Chelsea eventually looked up to me. She looks sad. Nag alala naman ako bigla. May sakit kaya ito?
"What's the matter, sweetie? Why are you not happy to see me?" tanong ko.
"Nothing. I'm happy to see you, Mum." sagot nya sabay yuko.
"You don't look happy. Come here." sabi ko sabay hawak sa kamay nya.
She followed me naman. Humarap na sya sa akin kaya niyakap ko na sya. At first she didn't move.
Hanggang naramdaman ko yung mga braso nya na unti unti na ring yumayakap sa akin.
"You feel better now?" tanong ko.
"I am now because you're hugging me." she whispered.
"I love you, sweetie. Always remember that." I said.
"I love you so much, Mummy. I'm sorry that I ignored you earlier. I didn't mean it." she said.
At mas lalo pa nya akong niyakap ng mahigpit. Ay, nagtatampo yata ito. I kissed her head while hugging and rubbing her back.
"It's okay but don't do that anymore. You have to tell us if you feel that something is bothering you. Me and your Dada will appreciate it if you come to us and be honest." I replied.
"Yes, Mum." sabi naman nya.
"I know that I've somewhat neglected you these past few months because of Joaquin. You are aware that we both needed medical attention that's why we prioritized him first, but it doesn't mean that you are less important to me and Dada. It's not like that. You are both special and important to us." I added.
"Okay, Mum. I understand." she said.
"Good. That's my girl." sabi ko.
We stayed like that until.
"Uha, uha, uha." biglang narinig namin.
Me and Chelsea both looked at Joaquin. Nakanguso ito habang umiiyak pero hindi iyak na grabe. Parang iyak na nagpapakarga.
"Ohhh, sorry baby JD. I'm just hugging your Ate." sabi ko sabay kuha na sa kanya.
"Hey, little bro. I'm just hugging Mummy for 2 minutes. So jealous, ha!" Chelsea said while smiling.
