I'm on the way to the office when my phone rings. I turned the volume down of the radio bago ko ito sagutin.
"Good morning, Deanna Wong, speaking." I said.
Hindi ko na kasi tinignan ang caller ID.
"Good morning, iha, anak. How are you? Wait, are you driving?" my Mom said on the other line.
"Mom? Hiiiiii, I miss you! Yup, I'm driving but on hands free. How are you? Late na dyan ah. Bakit napatawag ka yata?" tanong ko.
"Drive slowly then, I don't want you having an accident. We are fine. Namiss lang namin kayo. You don't call us regularly as before. We are worried. How's Jema by the way and Chelsea, and our soon to be apo?" she replied.
Ayun, lumabas din ang totoo. Si Jema pala ang gustong kumustahin at mga apo, hmmmp.
Magselos ba sa asawa at anak nya, hahaha.
"They're fine, Mom. Malapit ng lumabas ang apo ninyo. Mag book na kayo ng tickets. Although nahilo at nagsuka si Jema kanina kaya nasa bed lang sya when I left home." sagot ko.
"What? Why are you not on her side? Dapat dinala mo sya sa hospital. Baka naman stressed sayo ang asawa mo. You better behave, Deanna. Lagot ka sa amin ni Dad mo pag may mangyari sa mag ina mo." walang prenong sabi nya.
Waahhh, baliktad na talaga. Mas mahal na nila si Jema kesa sa akin. Which is okay lang naman, hehe.
Ganun daw talaga pag mabait ang manugang sa in-laws nila. Parang sila pa ang tunay na anak kung ituring.
"Calm down, Mom. Everything is under control. I will call you later. I love you. Lapit nako sa office. Give my regards to Dad and bro Deans." I replied.
"Alright, I love you too. Take care always. I will call Jema na lang sa bahay ninyo." she said.
Ayos ah, super close na talaga sila.

Naging busy agad ako sa work kaya nawala na sa isip ko ang mga ganap kaninang umaga. Tumigil lang ako sa pagla laptop when I received a text from Jema.
Jema:
Babe, how are you? Don't forget to eat, wag papagutom ah. Your Mom called pala. Tagal naming nag usap.
Me:
Hey asawa ko, I miss you na. How are you? Thank you for reminding me. I need a break nga but not from you tho 😉.
Jema:
Heh, puro ka biro. I miss you too. Okay na ulit ako, babe. Wait, sabi ko tumawag si Mom.
Me:
I know. She called me muna bago ikaw. What did she say?
Jema:
Mag behave ka daw. 😜
Me:
Hahaha, patawa. Behave naman ako lagi. 🤭✌🏼

Me:
Yes, Love. Super behave lalo na kagabi 😜
Jema:
Oo na, cute mo, asawa ko. Nga pala, don't forget to see Ms. A. C. at 11 ha. Hihintayin ka nun.
Me:
Shocks, I forgot about that. Buti you reminded me again.
Jema:
I know, kaya nga sinasabi ko uli sayo eh. Okay, laters again asawa ko. I love you. 😘
