"Pauly?"

The Quileute boy looked over in my direction. "Yeah Cay?"

"Do you have to leave again?" I asked. It was more of a whisper if we're being honest. Currently buried under blankets on the couch my mood faltered. The pills had been getting to me lately and my best friend knew it. When I took breaks from them my moods came back in full swing, usually making me overly emotional to make up for the lack of them I experienced when I took them.

"You know Sam won't let me skip patrol again," he sighed. Nodding, I shifted my eyes back to my book and picked at the fluff on one of the blankets. "I can call Jared if you don't wanna be alone."

I just opened my arms and Paul came rushing into them. Giving me a big hug and shoving my face into his burning chest.

"Just be safe please."

Kissing the top of my head he gave a soft "always" and was on his way. It wasn't long after he left that my phone started ringing from the table with the tiniest vampires name on it.

"Hi Ally."

"You're coming over."

That was all she said before she hung up the phone and sent me texts that were a hair off threatening if I didn't oblige. I wasn't gonna be the one to deal with the wrath of my newfound friend/tiny monster. For a happy little thing she was quite terrifying sometimes.

About 30 minutes later I was approaching the beautiful Cullen home. The clear glass windows were stunning along with the scenery around it. But overall it just felt homey. While big, it was not at all empty.

Alice met me at the door and quickly pulled me in to face her entire family. Could've gave a girl a warning. Soon my nervousness drifted into a little more calm and I looked towards the one family member I had been avoiding.  He stood off to the side, arms crossed and looking towards the ground.

"Everyone, this is Caylee," she giggled. "From left to right is Carlisle, who you already know, Esme his wife, Emmett and Rosalie, Edward and of course Bella, and Jasper." With a bright smile and a little nudge she pushed me forward.

"Hi. Er- you have a beautiful home." I said awkwardly. Everyone for the most part smiled, except Bella who shifted a little uncomfortably.

"Caylee, it's wonderful to meet you. Thank you for coming," Esme smiled warmly. It made my heart swell at the motherly feel that surrounded me in her presence. It was impossible to not smile back. She gave me a gentle hug before pulling her husband away.

"Hey Bella, at least you aren't the newby anymore!" The big one, Emmett, cackled loudly causing both of us to flush.

"Well it's safe to say you're still the biggest." I joked back. Or tried. Inwardly cringing to myself he looked over at me before booming in laughter once again.

"Ah, we're keeping you." The boy was practically beaming with excitement at my lame comeback. Nevertheless the room was emptied once more of another couple.

"Hi Bells."

"Hey Caylee." She gave a weird wave that made her boyfriends mouth quirk into a small smile. The love filled house was practically suffocating. Edward too gave me a little greeting and a little smile before announcing that he had to take Bella home. Looking behind me I see Alice had completely disappeared, leaving me with the only person left in the room.

"Hi," I mumbled softly. Finally looking up at me I see his golden eyes. Tracing all over my face as if to memorize every piece of it.

"You should sit. A lady shouldn't be left waiting." He said with a little smirk.
