Jasper's POV
It was difficult. Being in a house full of vampires I haven't met, all thirsting for human blood, my mate being away, and Alice randomly disappearing with Leah.
It felt suffocating to say the least. I was constantly hungry and needing to take breaks away from the house to get away from all the emotions. The Volturi was supposed to arrive in less than 2 days and all I could think about was how badly I just wanted to be with Caylee. Paul and Jared were constantly sending updates, never leaving anything out.
I was sitting outside, in the same spot where I had first been pelted with paint balloons, the place where we sprayed each other with the water hose, and only a few feet from the driveway where I asked her on our first "date". Catching my eye through the glass windows that surrounded our home, Edward gave me a sympathetic look. He of all people would understand what it's like to have your loved one be sick and not be able to help.

Paul.
"How is sh-"
"You've gotta come quick! She's not waking up!" He hung up. It only took a few minutes before I arrived at the small house.
"She's upstairs. We don't know what to do, she's just not waking up," Jared said as I walked through the door.
The panic was flowing through me, along with the terror and worry of the two wolves. She was laying on her bed, looking to be asleep, but as soon as I started to come through the doorway her body started convulsing in an unnatural way.
"Why are you just standing there you skeleton, do something!" Paul yelled.
Approaching Caylee only seemed to make it worse and Jared was already on the phone with Carlisle. Her skin was burning and blood was seeping from her nose and mouth.
"Carlisle you have to come quick, it's really bad this time and she won't wake up."
"I can't."
"What do you mean you can't? You have to come, she's dying!" It was my turn to yell now.
Paul looked up angrily, "Her heartbeat is slowing down. He needs to get here now. Fucking change her if you have to but figure it out because that's my best friend and your mate. We are not losing her."
"Carlisle, please. You have to come change her," I begged through the phone.
"I can't. We don't even know what will happen and I made a promise. I'm sorry." His voice was wavering, pleading me back to stop asking.
In a quick movement the phone was shattered and Paul's body slammed into me. "Look at her! She's not gonna make it if you don't do something right now. So do what you bloodsuckers do best and fucking change her!"
"Paul-" Jared tried to interrupt.
"NO! She's my best friend and the only person left who truly gives a fuck about me. We owe it to her to try."
Leaning over her body I could feel the heat again, her body curling in an uncomfortable way as her body was unconsciously throwing up any kind of blood in her system. Glancing up to take one last look at the wolves in front of me before looking back down at the girl I love so dearly, I bit down on her neck.

Caylee's POV
It felt like a hot water, like someone had turned on the faucet and left it running, letting the steam fill my brain and the water trickle into my veins.
I can't really remember anything.
I remember the yelling. Faint sounds of Jasper and Paul's voices and the sound of Jared pacing anxiously, everything else was hazy.
But despite all the yelling I could hear whispers. My mom and dad, Gran, even Clara, and voices of people I hadn't met. Then there was screaming, though I could faintly recognize it as my own. The familiar tear in my throat and hoarseness from it beginning to tire and strain was the only proof I had.
Something was changing, different.
"Caylee, Caylee." Jared.
"C'mon Cay." Paul.
"Darlin' please." Jasper.
"Jasper." This time it was my voice, or at least I think. It was hard to tell if it was all in my head anymore.
Slowly but surely, I opened my eyes, a small flutter before gazing into golden hues. And three loud gasps were simultaneously made.
Y'all the book is almost done.
Hehe I can't wait for you guys to see what I have planned. Even though I'm hardcore trolling my own writing, especially the past few chapters so I'm sorry if you don't like it either.
But if y'all were looking forward to her being in the final "battle" scene I hate to disappoint (only lets be honest this book wasn't the best to begin with). I had thought about including her but honestly it wouldn't have made much sense or fit in well with the storyline for her. Because her changing was so close to the battle I can't see that anyone would have let her join anyway purely because she had 0 time to train or control anything.
