"What? No no no. Please, please don't put me in this position. Jake? Leah?" I was frantically looking around the room, silently begging everyone to not ask me to do it.
"Caylee, we're sorry to put you in this position. But we have no other choice." Carlisle, the usual voice of reason, spoke first. Jacob stood quietly in the corner of the room beside a nervous Seth, and Leah, whose eyes were solely trained on my tiny vampire relative.
My last hope was looking at Jasper. He cautiously stood a few feet away from me, a smart decision on his part after a mysterious flying shoe had flown threw the air towards his head a few days prior when I had seen Paul's messages.
"Darlin', we have to eat," he said quietly. His usual golden eyes were dark along with the deep bruise like shadows under his and the rest of the Cullen's eyes.
Tears pooled at my eyes and I looked back at Bella. The baby didn't deserve the constant hate that it was already surrounded by. From the worried vampires in the room to the angry wolves. With a heavy heart I forced my head to nod in agreement.
The door slammed behind Jacob and I stomped out the back door with my phone.
Ring ring.
He picked up right away.
"CAYLEE WHAT THE FUCK? Now you want to answer! Do you know how hard it was for Jared and I to convince him that he couldn't hurt you too? You're so lucky we're still imprints or else I would have had to kill you."
Paul's words came out fast but the concern was just as prominent.
"I'm sorry. Paul we need to talk. I wanna come home. Can we meet somewhere?" It was hard to get the words out, I almost choked. Not trusting my voice due to it's possible shakiness Jasper came out the door quietly, looking at me with an apologetic face.
"Cay," he sighed. "I don't know. I have to check with Sam-"
"Pauly please. I just want to go home and us be okay again." He started to protest again before I continued, "Like when Gran was alive."
"Okay. I'll pick you up at the line once the sun goes down." As soon as the phone went dead the sobbing came. Jasper tried to console me but I brushed past. I couldn't handle seeing any of them right now.
He caught my arm right before though, "I'm sorry. My family-"
"You don't understand. Paul is my family Jasper."
Hours later I stood with Jacob at the treaty line, anxiety filling my entire body.
"Cay. I missed you." Right as Paul came into sight he had me in his arms. Picking me up and spinning slowly. A few of the other pack members stood beside him as he sat me down.
"Where's your stuff?" He smiled widely.
Before he could grab me again, Jacob grabbed my arm lightly, pulling me behind his body. Leah and Seth standing in front of me off to the side in a protective manner.
"What are you doing?" A howl sounded through the air and it clicked. "You played me."
"Paul calm down," Jacob warned stepping closer.
"I'm so sorry." My voice was so quiet I could barely hear it. Tears were streaming down my face.
"How could you do this. You betrayed me."
"Paul-"
"No Caylee! I thought I was your family." Paul whispered. He turned to leave and didn't look back.

I sat quietly on the couch, barely listening to Bella and Rose talk about baby names. It wasn't until terrifying cracks echoed that brought everyone's attention back.
"Bella can you hear me?" I rushed to help as we laid her down on the table. She was screaming in pain, begging Edward, Rose, and I to get the baby out. Quickly I was ruled to be useless in the situation and Rose had been kicked out because of the amount of blood.
It went by so fast.
In a matter of minutes Renesmee had been born and Edward smiled, handing her to Bella.
"She's beautiful," Bella's voice was fading along with her breathing. Edward tried giving her to me without realizing, but Rose was quick to intercept. I left as well, seeing as Jacob and Edward were trying desperately to help Bella and I was nothing but another person in the way.
I cried. Clutching the pillow close to my body, the sobs kept coming. Losing so many people in one day was not going well for me. "Darlin'?"
"Jasper I can't. Please." In a second he was right next to me, pulling me into his chest.
"She's alive. The venom is working. Everyone's okay," he mumbled into my hair. Combing through it gently and rocking my body back and forth in his arms.
"Not everyone."

The next day was hard.
Tension was still high in the Cullen household. From Jacob imprinting to waiting around for Bella, and my oh so happy nature because of what happened with Paul - it wasn't easy.
On the bright side at least Leah and Alice were having a grand old time.
Laughing, cuddling, and lots of conversation could be heard from anywhere in the house as long as they were around. It was cute though, they were both happy and it was a nice distraction from everything else.
"Your dreams have gotten worse."
I looked at Jasper. He was standing quietly by the door watching as I got ready. Nodding in response he simply walked over and wrapped his arms around my waist. Pulling my back against him, Jasper kissed my neck softly.
Leaning into his touch there was a knock on the door. Alice and Leah stood at the door giggling. "It's happening."
A short one but I'm updating one or more chapters after this today.
