"Bella, please. You won't let me buy you a real present. Just please pick a book at least," Edward pleaded. He just wanted to buy Bella something for her birthday. She was always reading the same beat up books so he figure he could at least start there. However, she did not like that whatsoever.
Bella just wanted to leave. She didn't want a present and she didn't want to be around Caylee. She truly did feel bad about what happened but she was beyond creeped out at how she had known about her near death experience, weeks before it happened. She shouldn't be all that surprised in all actuality seeing as there's Alice. Along with vampires in general. But the whole situation made her feel nervous and the fact that she hadn't told her boyfriend or any of his family members was beyond nerve wracking. That was an argument she was not going to have.
"I said I didn't want a book, can we please just leave?" she muttered quietly, hoping that Caylee wouldn't look up from the book she was reading so heavily.
"Fine, I will figure something else out." Edward responded. As Bella practically ran out the door he glanced over that the girl, curled up in a very baggy sweatshirt and her eyes trained on the book in front of her.
His original intent was to look at the book she was reading, but something about her seemed so familiar to him, and he couldn't understand. He couldn't delve into her mind either which was even more odd. Hearing Bella grow impatient he went out the door so he could take her home to get ready before the party.
We're on New Moon! This one is going to be very short, only about 3 or 4 short chapters at most as it basically a filler to get to Caylee meeting Jasper and Alice. I hope you guys like it.
