"Please be my date!" You sob on Bakugou's shoulder who scoffs at you, pushing you away with his elbow as he continues into the kitchen.

"No, I fucking won't be."

"My disgusting ex managed to get married within two years of our breakup, and no one has even swiped right on me on Tinder! Please come with me!" You further persist, making sure to throw your weight onto your best friend. "'Suki he was so jealous of you all the damn time! I would be the victor if I showed up with you on my arm!"

"This isn't some fucking soap opera! I'm not letting you prostitute me for some ex you don't even care about!"

"Mhm, so what I'm hearing is that if I happen to fall in love with him, you'll go with me then?"

"No! You fucking idiot," Bakugou groans as he tries to continue making dinner for the two of you despite your annoying behavior. "I'm not going because it's going to be lame, and annoying. He doesn't like anything spicy, and his music taste sucks balls."

"Oh come on!! You hated him when I dated him! You can't tell me you wouldn't like to see his reaction when I look hot as hell and on your arm all night!"

"For someone over him, you sure want a reaction from him." Bakugou rolls his eyes as he shoves a broth covered spoon in your face. "Taste."

You taste the broth and smile at the intricate spices that dance on your tastebuds. "Delicious."

"I'll go with you." Bakugou finally breaks and you squeal loudly hugging him tightly, much to his annoyance. "On one condition!"

You nod your head quickly, your eyes bright and sparkling as you say you'll do anything.

"I'm not going as your fake boyfriend," Bakugou mutters, a blush on his face. "Ask me out, or else I'm not going."

Your eyes widen as you stare at your best friend, unaware of the attraction he had for you... and your mouth opens to speak.
