Y/N's POV

"No no no. We're taking a cat." I told Taeyong for who knows how many times by now. "But I want a little friend for Ruby." He pouts as a baby. "Yes, so a cat." He shook his head. "No, a dog. A cute little puppy. I'm sure Ruby won't get along with cats." I sigh. "I'm sure if it's a kitten, Ruby will learn how to get along with cats." Taeyong is still pouting. "If you love cats so much why don't you go live with Jeno? You can talk all day about your love for cats." I was surprised by his words. "Okay fine, I'll go to Jeno. Never thought you'd be such a baby." I stood up from the bed and made my way to the front door. "Are you really leaving me?" I ignored him. "I didn't mean it. Let's get a cat." I looked at him but turned around and walked out. I'm going to Jeno, just like he said.

"And that's why I'm here." I explained to Jeno as I played with one of his cats. "You really walked to me? I'd think he was joking." He comments. "That's What He said when I left. But I'm just. Ugh. He's always gone for practice or shows and I'm all alone at home. We don't live together so it's not that I'm everyday with Ruby. I can get a cat if I want, right?" Jeno was just silent as I keep talking. At some point I thought he wasn't even paying attention anymore. "Are you listening?" He hums. "Yes, it's just Taeyong. He keeps texting me to ask if you could come back or at least pick up your phone." I looked at my phone and saw all the messages and missed calls. "Oops, is it okay if I call him?" Jeno nods and I go to the kitchen to have more privacy.

"Y/N, finally! I'm so sorry okay. You're right, we'll get a cat as soon as you get here. You know what I'll come pick you up, stay where you are." I tried interrupting him so I could say something. "Taeyong, we're not getting a cat." I said softly. "Huh, but I thought you wanted one." I giggle. "You're already my kitty, we can get another puppy if you want to." It was silent for a few seconds. "We're not getting any of these. Let's get a fish, it's easier to take care of." I shook my head. "Nah ah, no fish. If you want something else we can get a hamster." I heard a gasp. "No! What about a bird?" I sigh. "Then you can better get a baby chick." He giggles. "That was sarcastic, we're not getting chickens. I live in an apartment. If it grows it has no space to run around."

"Maybe you don't have to get a pet." I looked at Jeno who was behind me. "How could you say that?" I said dramatically. "What was that? Baby?" I got back to talking with Taeyong. "That was Jeno, he suggested we don't get a pet. How shocking is that." Taeyong didn't answer. "Hello? Are you still there?" I asked. "Maybe he's true. Ever since we wanted to get a pet, we only fight. I don't want that, I want to show you how much I love you." My heart melts at his words. "But what needs to keep me company when you're not home?" Taeyong giggles. "Remember that you also have to work and that you're not home yourself 8 hours a day." I sigh. "But still." I was the one pouting now. "I'll be there in 10 minutes, don't move."

"Where are you taking me?" I asked as Taeyong drives me somewhere. "You'll see, baby." We arrived and he takes me inside. All different animals where in their cages. "We're getting a pet and you choose what. Doesn't matter to me, as long as you're happy." I looked around. There were so many animals. "What about this one?" I point at an animal. Before Taeyong could answer, I said: "nah, maybe not. Oh or this one?" He nods but I shook my head. "It's just sleeping the whole time." I sigh. "Taeyong, baby, why is it so hard to choose a pet? Let's just forget about it." I rest my head against his chest as he hugs me. "I got another idea, follow me." He takes my hand and we walk out.

"Where are we going now?" I sigh, disappointed that I couldn't find a pet. "Why are we at an arcade?" I ask Taeyong as he drags me in. Without even saying a word he goes to a claw machine and tries getting a plushie. He fails the first 3 times. "It's okay if you lose, you don't have to spend all your money on that." He shushes me and plays another 5 rounds. "Why can't I get you a pet? I can't even get a plushie." I hug him. "Let me try one more time." I nod still hugging him from behind. He tries and plays. I wasn't really paying attention anymore until he jumps up. "I did it! Look I got you a plushie, it's a kitty!" I looked at the flashing colourful lights and then at the kitten he was holding. "It's not a real one but, it's something." He gave me a smile.

I kissed his cheek and took his hand so he'd follow me next. "Now we're getting food, you've been so long in there to get me this kitty. At least I can get us food." Luckily there was a food court at the arcade. We sat down at a table next to each other. "What are you getting?" He grins making me worry what he's about to say. "A kiss." He leans closer and kisses me on the lips, I kiss back and smile right after. "Take good care of the pet, promise me." I smile innocently. "I promise." Holding the kitty close to me.
