Jaemin's POV

I look at the clock when I hear the front door open. "I'm home!" Y/n's voice sounds. "I'm in the kitchen!" A few seconds later he stood next to me. "Hi, I missed you." He tells me. "Missed you too. How come you're so early?" I asked. "My teacher was sick. What are you making?" He points at the food. "I'm trying to make a cake. But I don't know if it's good." I'm honestly sure it isn't good. "But how was your day?" I asked to keep the conversation going. Y/n ain't much of a talker so if I don't ask him anything, there won't be anything said.

"It was okay. I got a huge test for next week. Mrs Kang wants to see if we still remember something from beginning this school year. I'm going to fail for sure." He chuckles at himself. "Don't say that, you can do this. I know for sure. And I can help you if you want." I tell y/n. "Thanks but I don't need your help." I pout and look him in the eyes. "Don't turn me down. I'm going to help you, no buts."

"Have you already studied for your test?" I asked walking into our shared bedroom. "Nope, I'm busy with other tasks." He was sitting behind his pc. "Can I see? What's it about?" He closed his laptop before I could see anything. "What was that for?" I asked. "It's my work, I don't need your opinion on anything." He was acting strange. "I won't judge, just show me." I take his pc out of his hands and open it again. "You're just playing games. How do you get good grades if you don't study? You told me yourself that it's a big important test, just study already."

"You sound like my mom." He sighs. "Why don't you study? I just want to know that. If something is holding you back or bothering, just tell me." I care about him and he usually tells me everything, what's different this time? "Is it something I did? Someone at school? Your teacher? Talk with me, please. It's making me crazy." I take his hand in mine. "I will fail this year anyway. There's no use on studying if I already know my grades are not enough to get me through the next year." I shook my head. "How did this happen? You always showed me your grades, they're always good." I didn't understand how this happened. His teacher must've made a mistake.

"I only show you the good grades, I don't want you to worry about my school life. That's my sorrow." Y/n doesn't look at me, he stares at the window. "But you should've told me anyway. I could've helped you. It's never too late, we can study for that test and get your grades up. You just got to believe in yourself." He shows me a weak smile. "Together we can do this. Where are your books?" We get up and sit at the desk. I have to be honest, this isn't easy. But we get through it.

Y/N's POV

We studied together, everyday after I got back from school. Jaemin is a great help. I woke up without Jaemin next to me. I get up and see him in the kitchen. "Eat this, it'll give you enough energy for the day." I take the plate with food. "Today is the test right? You're going to do it good! And whatever your grades will be, know that I'm proud of you." He cups my cheeks and pecks my nose. "Thank you so much! Now go back to bed you, it's still early."

The moment is there, I'm getting my test. I was still going through my notes, a lest check. Think about what Jaemin told me: I can do this. "Notes and books disappear now." Our teacher said. I get my pen and take a breath, I'm so nervous right now. Once I get the test I start filling in the easy questions. I looked again if there isn't anything left. Now I only have the harder questions left. I finished and I still had time left!

Jaemin's POV

Like always I was keeping myself busy when waiting for y/n to come home. It's not that I have to wait that long but still. This time I was just watching something on my phone when the door opens. "Y/n, how was your day?" I got no answer. Maybe something happened. Whatever it is it made me worried. I got up and walked to the front door where he was still taking off his shoes and coat. "What happened?" I asked him. Y/n looked very sad and disappointed. "You failed the test? Was it that difficult? Come here, you know I'm still proud of you about how hard you worked for it."

I opened my arms for a hug but instead he starts smiling and picked me up. "I got a B! I was the first one to finish, it was easier than I thought. I did stress at first but I just did it!" I got so happy to hear that. "I knew you could do it, congratulations! What did your teacher say?" I asked curious. "She was happy about it. I still have a chance to pass this year." A big smile appeared on his face, it's so cute! "Let's celebrate this!" I said excited. "I'm taking you out for dinner. Get ready." A light pink blush creeps on his cheeks. "This is all thanks to you, I'm taking you out!" He holds me close and kissed me. "Thank you so much baby." I smile and look him in the eyes. "No problem sweetheart, I love you."
