Xiaojun's POV

"The new neighbours arrived!" YangYang said excited. "Have you seen them?" Ten asks. "Yup, father and a mother with a daughter around my age. At least she looks my age." He sits down with us at the kitchen table. "I tried saying hi but she ignored me and ran off inside." He pouts. "They're new and you're already scaring them, how could you?" Ten jokes.

"What did she look like?" I asked. "Dark hair, a little bit short. Her face I couldn't see, she was already gone. And her parents are nice. The mom said she's going to bring us something small to say hello and get to know the neighbours." Kun who just walked in panicked. "There are people coming over? It's a mess here! We have nothing from food or drinks!"

Both me and YangYang have to get groceries. We walk out the house and see the family still moving in. "Hello, YangYang!" The women says. Really how long was he outside? "Hi. We're going to the supermarket. When were you planning to come over?" He asks. "Not too late but we first have to get all these boxes inside." They're talking like they know each other for so long.

"So we got the beef, we got all the vegetables, we got rice. Now only the drinks." I look through the list that Kun gave me. "Are you also excited?" I look at YangYang. "For the neighbours? I don't know. Maybe a little since your story about the girl. She seems mysterious." I took a few bottles of different sodas and put them in the cart. "Will she even come? I mean you scared her away." I laugh. "I did not scare her! I just said welcome."

We paid for everything and walked back home with the different bags full with groceries. "They're still moving in the boxes. Should we help them?" YangYang asks. "First we need to get these bags home, they're ripping my arms off." I struggled with the bags. "It's like I have all the heavy things and you have nothing." He nods. "I have the light things, indeed. Isn't that great." Once he saw my expression he rushed home.

I don't know why but we had to clean our rooms. I don't think these people have to see where I sleep. I was cleaning and playing music, singing along. "Can you open a window it smells like death in here." Hendery walked in. "Why are you even here?" I asked. "For. I don't know anymore." He left. I opened my window and saw the girl in her room. Our rooms are opposite of each other. I can see everything but her face. Can't she turn around for a second?

She finally turned around, she was unboxing her stuff. She was placing some glass figures by the window. I finally could see her face and she was pretty. I realised I was staring once she noticed me and closed the curtains. Why does she want to hide from everyone? "Xiaojun! Kun needs the broom, that's what I was here for." I hand Hendery the broom. "What's wrong? Why that frown?" He asked. "Nothing special." I answered.

"They are here. Act like normal people for once." Kun says before he opens the door. "Hi, welcome in the neighbourhood. I'm Kun. Please come in." Only the parents walked in. Where's the girl? Everyone introduced their self. "Hi, I'm Xiao Dejun. Just call me Xiaojun." Why am I being this awkward? We all started talking. We got to know our neighbours and they got to know us.

"We're actually a music group." Lucas says. I think I can speak for all of us if I say I facepalmed. Last time he said that to neighbours they hated us. They judged us that we were going to be too loud. Once that we were playing a game outside and were just a little louder, they started complaining and eventually moved. "But don't worry, we're not loud. We practice somewhere else than home. Please don't hate us." Sicheng pleads. "Why would we? We're a musical family. I play piano and my husband can drum, guitar and also a little bit on the piano." The woman says.

"What about your daughter?" YangYang asks. "Well she. It's complicated. She loves music and is very talented but doesn't want to show anyone. See, she never comes out only for school. You won't see her much." We turned all silent until our cat walked to the new neighbours. "You own a cat? How sweet. Y/n'd love it. We used to have one as well." Y/n, that's her name. Just as beautiful as she is. "If she wants she can always come over to play with the cat." I said. I just want to talk with her and get to know her.

I was at my room, I saw that y/n's curtains were opened again. I saw her mouth moving, it's like she's singing. I wrote something down on a paper and hold it against the window, hoping she'd see it. She sees me and turns around, she's shy. She slowly turns back a round, hiding behind her own hands. She reads the paper and looks around in her room.

She does the same as me, she wrote something down and showed it. "Hi, I'm y/n. Can you stop staring at me. It scares me." I sigh after I read that out loud. "Please don't be scared. Here's my number so we can text. I want to know you better." I wrote it all down and showed her. It looks like she was hesitating to take her phone, but did it anyway.

After texting for a while, I called her. I want to hear her voice. She picked up. "Y/n!" I said excited. "X-Xiaojun." She sounds insecure. "Don't be scared or anything. You know me better now and I know you. Nothing to be ashamed of." I see her smile through the window. "Come outside. You can meet our cat." I was excited and didn't want her to turn me down.

"It's the first time I see you outside. How great!" I said, happy to see her from closer. "Where's the cat?" She asks. "Just follow me." I took her with me and we played together with the cat. We're becoming close friends. Maybe even more.
