Haechan's POV

A whole day, a whole day they did like I didn't exist. That's worse than when someone acts like they forget your birthday. "Haechan, let's go home now." Taeyong says. "Oh so now you can see me?" I said sarcastically. "What do you mean? Just come." I roll my eyes and follow him to the car, on our way back to the dorm. When we arrived everything was dark. I turn on the lights and see that the apartment is decorated with balloons and birthday banners.

"Happy birthday!" All of the guys walk out of the kitchen with a cake. "I deserve this after all of you ignored me for the whole day." They all just laugh. "We're sorry, it was just part of the plan." I make a wish and blow out the candles. "Where's y/n? She must be here too. You guys did invite my girlfriend, right?"

"She couldn't make it, she had work to do. She said she's really sorry and that we have to wish you a big happy birthday from her!" I sigh. A birthday party without my girlfriend to celebrate with. For a second I was happy to see everyone but knowing she's not with me, that just sucks. But I put up a smile for the boys, they did organise a party for me.

At the end of the night I was at my room. "What's wrong? Wasn't the party fun?" Johnny asks. "It was but I just wished y/n could be here too." I explain. "I'm sorry for you, but I'm sure she'll celebrate with you once she gets back." Johnny tells me. "That's true. Anyway I'm going to sleep, goodnight." We turn off the lights and I lay down. When I was about to sleep I get a message from y/n. She's wishing me a happy birthday, she didn't forget.

"Y/n's coming over, get this cleaned up!" I'm finally seeing my girlfriend again after a week. But before she gets here I want the room to be clean. The doorbell rings, she's here already! "Let me go open the door!" I run to the front door and open it. "Baby!" I smile. "Sunshine!" We Give each other a kiss. "Come in Come in Come in. I'm so happy to see you again!"

"I missed you so much. And I'm sorry I couldn't be there on your birthday, but I got you a present. Happy belated birthday!" She gives me a colourful box. "Thank you." I open the box and see a photo book, pictures from all our dates the past year. A little note was written on the last page. "This is so amazing thank you so much!" I hug her. "There's someone else I got you."

She pulls out a smaller box. I open it and see a necklace, it was a silver one with the nickname she calls me. "Sunshine? Oh this is so cute!" She helps me getting it on. "It looks good on you." She compliments. "Have you eaten yet?" I ask. "Yes but I can always eat more." She laughs. "Then we'll go out and eat somewhere."

We get at a restaurant and ordered food. "How was your birthday? What did you do?" She asks. "Everyone ignored me a whole day. But it was for their plan, when I got home they had a whole party organised. It was fun but it's not the same without you." I tell her. "I'm sorry again. I really tried convincing my boss to let me go home but it didn't work." Y/n says with a little pout. "It's okay, the message you send me that night was all I needed."

"But how was your week? Did your boss overwork you, if so I'll go kick his butt." Y/n laughs. "No it was okay, tiring but I finished everything. Now I have a couple days off." Every time she has a couple days off of work we do the most fun things together, we go out on little dates, we just enjoy each other's presence. "If you don't have work, what do you want to go and do?" I ask her.

"I don't know, what can we do? We've already done so much together." It's true, it's surprising that there are things left to do. "We can maybe stay at home for once. Watch movies, series, eat a lot of unhealthy snacks that we both love." She starts smiling at the idea, it's so cute. "I guess that's a yes, so get your pjs ready for tomorrow."

After our lunch we made a little walk. "Sunshine." Y/n starts. "I still feel sorry that I couldn't come to your birthday party. Please tell me, what can I do to make it up to you?" I shook my head. "You don't have to do anything. You already got me 2 presents. That's enough." I tell y/n. "No, I have to do or get you something. Anything, just tell me!"

"Anything?" She nods. "Give me a kiss first, and let us then get something sweet to snack on." Y/n smiles and gives me a quick kiss. When we're at home she has no shame, but once we're in public she gets shy. "You call that a kiss? You can do better than that." I teased. "I gave you your kiss, you didn't tell me how I should kiss you."

She sticks out her tongue and runs away from me. I chuckle to myself and start running after her. I finally got her and hug her from behind. "I got you! Don't dare running away again. Let me show you what a real kiss is." I lean in and give her an actual kiss. When we pull away she's blushing and hiding her face. "Stop doing that."

"Why? Can't I kiss my pretty girlfriend?" She giggles. "Let's get you your sweets to snack on." We hold hands and walk to a nearby place that sells pastries and all kinds of sweet tasty food. "Happy belated sunshine." She smiles, hugging me.
