“Opo. Barbs po. Barbs na lang.”
“Okay. Nasa symptomatic stage ang HIV niya at this point napakahirap na talaga i-manage ng health ng pasyente dahil sobrang dali niyang makakuha nang kung anu-anong sakit and these opportunistic infections are aggressively infecting his system. Ngayon, aside from bronchitis na ginagamot na, eto namang gastrointestinal infection. We need to see the extent of the illness sa loob para ma-identify nang maayos at mabigyan ng tamang treatment but we don’t have a ct scan here. Ngayon po, pwede namang i-confine natin siya dito pero hindi kumpleto ang facilities to give him the best care.”
“Doc? Paano na po?”
“I can refer you to the nearest hospital na kumpleto and I can call specialists who can help Barbs. Kaya lang as you would know mas malaking gastos yun.”
“Wala po kaming ganoong pera.”
“I strongly encourage na ilipat niyo siya pero kung hindi kaya, we will still try to give him the best care that we can in this hospital. I’ll give you time to decide. Just let the nurse know kung ready na kayo.”
“Okay, Doc. Thank you po.”
