Score: 3/10

INTRODUCTION
I kinda enjoyed reading the book yeah. Certain scenes made me tingle but others made me frown.

What I LIKED about your book:
You can write. Your details are actually amazing especially when it comes to your characters' emotions, which I, myself, can relate to.

The dialogue was well-written too! You made these characters actually sound like two real people falling in love with each other despite their differences and the obstacles they have to face for it to reach fruition.

What I DIDN'T LIKE about your book:
You've focused too much on your two characters that everything's revolving around what they both feel, which is a cycle of regret, passion, and lust, it's literally dumping different words that have the same meaning all over again, masquerading them as emotions.

There's also been a lack in scenery and world-building. Honestly, every setting has been under-looked that most actually felt like blank spaces to me as I read them. The lack of such makes it hard for me to continue onwards as it bores me.

The timeframe too was quite confusing. First it moved 10 years which was understandable. Then time kept moving too fast that it was hard to root myself to the story.

Why do I also have this feeling that Alex and Julian's relationship is so rushed. I think this is a personal matter but, given that they haven't seen each other for 10 years, 10 years! Not to mention, Julian is married and has children and Alex has Sebastian. They meet at the cocktail party in the first chapter, had coffee at third which ended badly, texted each other at fourth which also ended quite badly, and they have an affair at sixth that has lasted for 2 months in chapter 7.

Yes I know it's a romantic novel but so far, the romance here has fifty shades of grey feels without the kinky stuff rather than a real relationship, you've based the flow of their relationship entirely on Hollywood movies.

CONCLUSION:
Pace down your story and reduce your focus on your characters.

Your writing is good but you must establish priorities and authenticity.
