Title: Remember What Name You Wear
Chapters Read: 13
Score: 9/10INTRODUCTION:
Remember What Name You Wear definitely, by far, one of the best books I've read so far. A tale set in a fictional world. The story tells of Mikhail, an elite soldier for a corrupt prince. It tackles conflicts that resonates with our own modern ones, paired with an intriguing plot full of twists, and a set of beautifully-crafted characters. What I LIKED about your book:
The way you detailed your chapters were absolutely marvelous. You balanced your logical and straightforward details with your figures of speech, all while delivering your scene's information—characters, emotions, body language, and scenery—completely. The scenes were very colorful and can easily be subjected to one's imagination. Because of this, your scenes felt like it was more of a real moment, a memory perhaps, when I was reading it, rather than a written story. The characters were also very authentic. I definitely love how you composed Roman, he deserves the most praise. From the earlier chapters, he seemed like he was the perfect prince: tactical, charismatic, and smart, though when Mikhail enters his memories and actually hears Roman's thoughts, he was the direct opposite. You've hidden his awful character on a façade of charisma and grace excellently that I was actually starting to like him, turns out the dude was the antagonist all along!
Body language and emotion talking, you've captured these on your characters astoundingly, especially with Mikhail. You clearly detailed his grief when it came to his parents demise, his guilt while he was at the army, and what he felt about Roman's betrayal.
What I DIDN'T LIKE about your book:
The only problem I had with this boom was that there were parts that were quite overdetailed. The point of view was confusing at times also, especially when it came to dialogue, when it came to many speakers. Sometimes, the speaker is not much emphasized that it was confusing to know who was actually speaking.
CONCLUSION:
I definitely enjoyed your book. You've built up conflict early in the story and it really drew me in. And you really surprised me with Roman's betrayal. The plot was not that unique but it was very entertaining, action-packed, and full of drama and twists.
This is definitely staying in my library, keep it up!
