This is my second try on writing a fantasy story about angels. I'm still an amateur writer who's in the process of improving and learning, so if you notice some errors or mistakes you can politely comment it down, and I will immediately correct it. I hope you all enjoy reading Koraun and Astridiel's story! This story is not really a pure fantasy since the setting is in the mortal world, because I want this one to a bit different. That's the reason too why I put it in teen fiction genre.

Huminga ako ng malalim ng malaman na pinapatawag ako ni Papa sa opisina niya. Abala ako sa paglinis ng kwarto ko dahil ayokong may mga kasambahay na pumapasok rito kaya ako na mismo ang naglilinis.

I was walking in the hallway to his office when I heard Nathalie and Vaughn conversation.

"Nahanap na pala niya iyonh babaeng iyon! Bakit hindi niya hayaan na tayo ang pumatay sa kanya!" dahil sa pagtaas ng boses ni Nathalie ay klaro ko iyong narinig.

"I want to kill her in my own hands too but that's an order from Highness Kaspar. I don't think Koraun can kill that woman. Baka siya pa ang maging dahilan ng pagbagsak ng mga lahi natin." sagot naman ni Vaughn at saglit akong natigilan dahil may ideya na dumaan sa isip ko sa posibleng pinaguusapan nila.

Pinikit ko ang mga mata ko saglit at mabilis na nilagpasan ang silid na iyon dahil gusto ko ng makompirma kung tama nga ba ang iniisip ko.

His cold and authoritive eyes darted on me when I open the door to his office. Father leaned his back on the swivel chair and look at me directly.

"Is it true that you find the woman?" saad ko at kita kong nanliit ang mata niya sa akin sa diretso kong tanong sa kanya.

"Oh? You already knew?" he said with a bit of humor in his tone. Hindi ko pinansin iyon at seryoso lang na tumingin sa kanya. Huminga siya ng malalim at inayos muli ang upo.

"Yes, I already found the woman but I'm still not sure if she's really the nephilim. I want you to confirm it that's why I ask you to come here." saad niya at ramdam ko ang pagkuyom ng mga kamao ko sa bulsa. Huminga ako para pakalmahin ang sarili.

"Okay then, just don't tell anyone to get in my business." I said and he smirk and I muttered a cursed in my mind.

How can they fucking know Astrid already? Hindi pa ba sapat ang pagmamanipula ko at nahanap pa rin nila siya.

Fuck, I should not underestimate this old man.

"This is her." aniya at lumalalim ang paghinga ko ng makita ang litrato ni Astrid na nilagay niya sa lamesa. Nagtangis ang panga ko at agad na hininto iyon dahil ayokong makita niya ang galit sa mga mata ko.

Pinilit ko na lang na maging blanko ang ekspresyon ko kahit ramdam ko na ang nagsusumiklab na galit na nagbabadyang kumawala.

Nakatitig ako sa mukha ni Astrid na nasa litrato at hindi maiwasang bumigat muli ng paghinga ko.

Damn him.

"If you confirm that she's really the nephilim, don't ask me anymore and just kill her." Father said and I stop myself for greeting my teeth.

Dahan dahan kong kinuha ang litrato na nasa lamesa at mabilis na binulsa iyon.

I didn't said anything and just nod my head and I want to fucking curse myself.

There's no way I can kill her. I'm the one who would even die in thinking of hurting her.

"Good. You're my son and you're the next in my throne so you should do this alone. I don't want a failure, Koraun." he said and I didn't feel anything when I heard my name from him unlike before that I would smile.
