It was a calm evening in Miyagi prefecture. Sun sank lower in the sky, the light slowly turns to darker shades, welcoming the dark colors of the night. But as usual, it puts up quite a show, adorning the sky with rich hues of red blended with oranges, purples, crimsons.

Despite it only being Monday, Ukai Keishin and Takeda Ittetsu sat a bar/restaurant, drinking. It was the coach's treat because the young teacher had been working his ass off managing all of the requests for the girl to come and practice. "It's amazing how everyone sees Udai-chan. She's getting so many requests from powerhouses."

Keishin lights up a yet another cigarette and sighs. "It is, but it's also pressuring the guys. Mei is mostly known for being a player from Teiko. And now everyone's excited for her full recovery. They can't wait to see her in competitions, but no one pays attention to the school she attends. The guys realize that if they slip up, Mei's reputation is going down with them. All of them are training like crazy so that wouldn't happen. "

"Oh yeah," Takeda suddenly remembers. "There was a fight yesterday?" he questions remembering hearing something from Hinata and Yamaguchi talking.

Ukai releases a long sigh and looks down at the cup of sake. "Azumane came to me yesterday and gave me the same speech Sugawara once did."

Takeda furrows his eyebrows in confusion and gives the coach a surprised look. Ukai sighs and continues. "Sugawara once told me not to worry about choosing Kageyama over him for the setter position. He told me that he wants his team to win and if Kageyama is the better choice, I shouldn't hesitate and pick Kageyama over him. Azumane came to me and said the same thing."

"What does that mean?"

"He wants Mei to become the official ace of the team, now that she's back. Sawamura and Nishinoya got mad, but Azumane explained everything. The difference between them is too great. Now that there are more players than there were last year, it's impossible for the Ultimate Trio to keep on existing. Changes have to be made. And as much as I hate to do this, I'll have to bench Azumane. It hurts me to do so knowing that all of them stayed back, but only one is going to be on the court."

Takeda smiles assuringly. "Don't say that. Udai-chan is human as well. She has her bad days, her problems. I can imagine that she will be angry with this decision, but she will also be glad to know that Azumane has her back and is supporting her. She'll feel safe knowing that if something happens to her, Azumane is there to cover for her." the young coach looks at the teacher advisor, once more feeling glad that he's there. His wise words calmed him down a little. "But then again, I saw how angry Udai-chan was with Nishinoya-kun when Azumane-kun was skipping. The two second years respect the third year a lot. I can imagine how angry Udai-chan will be when the news reaches her."
