"Fucking behave!" A grown man warns and yanks his young son roughly by his arm. "Don't cost me this deal!" but the boy didn't care about the warning. He knew that either way, he will get a beating later tonight...it didn't matter if he behaved or not. And he could care less about the deal between the two families.
"Yes, father," he answers just like he was taught. Like a dog, he was trained to obey his master's commands. No freedom.
Perhaps that's why he saw the world in black and white? Because he existed in this world only for a few years and yet he already knows what it means to not have friends, to be made fun of, to receive both physical and mental punishments from his father. He never knew what love is. His father, the head of the family lead the family with his fist. He didn't know how to love.
It wasn't just Akihiro. His mother never loved her husband...she was forced into the marriage by her parents. She gave birth to four children under her will as well. She saw them as rats. Mere nuisances in her eyesight. On top of that, she also suffered the patriarchy. She was also a victim.
It was every man for himself...yet Akihiro felt bad for his sister, who was still too young to understand the world. To understand why her father is the way he is. She is too young to protect herself...so Akihiro does it for her. Taking the beating for her.
Even now, the boy didn't understand why his father took him here. Why he was the only one who accompanied him to the Akashi mansion. It was a business deal, so why is he here?
And for the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do. While the two grown men were talking business away from him, the boy was left with two teenagers, who were giving him attention...who were smiling at him and playing with him. Akashi Seijuro and Udai Tenma.
And then...there was also the girl...
The one who confused him the most.
The one who gave him the most attention and smiled at him like other children in his school smiled at each other. The butterflies in his stomach were hyperactive...and he hated the feeling. He never felt it before, so it's confusing and kind of annoying.
But welcoming and warm at the same time.
He saw through the girl easily...he saw how much she's suffering as well. How much she can relate with him. So why? Why is she shinning like the sun if she should've been the moon instead? Like him? Why is she kissed by light, while he's drowning in darkness? And yet they're feeling the same pain.
"You're hurt!" her small hands hold his arm gently and carefully, while her eyes scan the ugly bruise that was caused by his father. Akihiro stares at the female, not understanding why she's so worried...they don't even know each other.
"Huh..." The older black haired male states and gazes at the bruise as well. Seijuro lifts his head from his book and glances at the boy as well. "that's a nasty bruise...you getting into fights little man?"
"You're not that older..."
"Rude!"
"There's another bruise!" Udai Mei was always observant, so it wasn't a surprise to the two older males that she noticed the boy's injuries. Meanwhile, Akihiro was getting flustered. He didn't want anyone to notice how much of a monster his father was. How vulnerable he is.
