"I can't find anything!" At this point, Rapunzel was freaking out as she flipped through half of the books.
"I would be freaking out too, if I pissed off a starving Wolf with the known fact he could kill me." Merida joked.
"Now he's really going to kill me." She wined.
"Why would you lock him in the room in the first place?" Merida asked.
"It was a spell. I wanted to see if it worked." She said.
"Well it works, and he's pissed." Merida joked around.
She whimpered a little looking at the darkroom across the hall. "Just calm down. He's not going to kill you." I start.
Rapunzel turned to me, her eyes filled with fear. "How do you know?"
"He doesn't kill. He won't attack humans. Even in a state of starvation, Hiccup wouldn't hurt any of my friends or family." I say. She calmed a little but still flipped through books. I get up slowly with Anna's help then go to the door. "I'm going to see if he's still alive," I say.
Anna helped me to the door then looked at me. "You good?"
"Yeah. He can't Attack me on the other side of the door." I say.
She slowly walked away. "Okay." And she was gone.
I look in the room, but couldn't see him. "Hiccup?" I then see a set of pale green eyes in the dark. I flash the hall light on to see him suddenly come to me, but stopped at the door. "Hey," I say to him looking at his frail state. "How are you doing?"
"I'm starving!" He hissed.
"I know, I know. But we'll have the spell soon." I assure him. He continued to look at me. He's not remembering who I am. He's hungry. Hunger does crazy things to people... And well, Werewolves... He looked at me then snarled. I saw the colour of his eyes glow. Oh great! "Hiccup! It's me! It's me!"
He then stopped then backed up shaking his head. He backed up to the table, stumbling back on it. "Hiccup?!"
I watched him pick up a needle with a clear liquid them come to me. "I'm sorry." He said to me then injected himself with the liquid. I saw him shudder then set the needle aside.
"What did you just inject yourself with?" I ask.
"Wolfsbane."
"Why?"
"I would've lost it. Hunger does bad things to wolves. Wolfsbane weakens them, but I guess it calms them down." He said.
"Oh." He looked at me again. Then disappeared into the room again. I take a deep breath then go back to the library. "Did you find a spell yet?" I ask.
Punz shook her head. "No. Not yet."
"You need to hurry, he's losing it in there," I say to her.
"What makes you think that?" Merida asked.
"He forgot who I was for a second, he wanted to attack me, but then he injected himself with Wolfsbane," I say. "So hurry up!" I add.
Rapunzel only nodded then went through the books again. "I'll do my best."
LATER
Punz had finally found a spell, after two hours. I hadn't heard of Hiccup for that time either. He stayed silent in the dark. Punz walked to the open door where Hiccup was. I didn't see him or hear him. Merida handed her a book as I used Anna for support. "Okay." Rapunzel started. "Let's do this."
I still couldn't get a glimpse of Hiccup. Maybe he fell asleep. Rapunzel cleared her throat then started. She started mumbling some more words. I saw the so-called invisible glass blur, then go clear. "There. It's lifted."
I look into the room, but couldn't see anything. "Hiccup you can come out now," I say. There was silence. "Hiccup?" No response. "Hiccup?"
I look inside. Is he even in there? There's no way, he could've gotten out. Suddenly, something blurred past me, pinning Rapunzel to the wall. Hiccup! He had her pinned to the wall tightly, with his arm. Panic filled her eyes. Hiccup stared back at her with pure hatred in his eyes. A wolf-like glow lit his eyes. His gaze was locked. He didn't move it. The blonde squirmed in his grip, fighting her with all her strength, but of course, it barely meant anything to him. He lifted her off the ground letting her dangle in the air. The hungry look glowed in his eyes.
"Hiccup!" I yell at him. No reply. "Hiccup!" Nothing.
He snarled madly. For the first time in his human form, I noticed a sharp set of canines appear as he stared her down. He clearly wasn't happy. His gaze held hers. She squirmed in his arms, full of fear. He snarled once more. "Hiccup! Stop!"
He suddenly dropped her to the ground backing up suddenly, looking slightly confused.
He's losing it. It's his hunger. He can't control it anymore. He then took a deep breath, stumbling backwards, forcing his back against the wall. "What happened?" He asked confused scanned the area, breathing quickly.
"You were going to kill Punz," I tell him. He looked to me then to her. The dangerous golden shade seemed to fade from his eyes, shifting back to the usual green and the hostility seemed to leave his eyes as he sighed, focusing on Rapunzel calmly. I could see the guilt in his eyes. Rapunzel didn't even have to say anything. However, she smiled faintly at him, with a small nod. Without even saying anything, he left in a blur. Punz looked at me for a moment. "He's hungry." I apologized.
"So he was going to kill her," Anna asked madly.
"Yeah, it's okay," Rapunzel interrupted her. "I'd probably attack someone if I were locked up in a room for hours, with nothing but temptations on the other side. After all, I did trap him in a room for two hours, and teased him with fresh-kill."
Rapunzel seemed very calm despite the fact that a fully enraged wolf went after her, threatening to kill her. Rapunzel, however, is a very forgiving person. She hopefully knew that Hiccup didn't mean what he did, and he's fighting his own hunger at this current moment. Out of all of us, Rapunzel understands, just as much as I do.
