I walk alone in the trees, in the snow. Hiccup went out Hunting Leaving me alone. I didn't mind being alone, but I rather have Hiccup around. He's amazing. Both humans and Wolf. I never thought I'd meet a real Werewolf. Actually, I didn't know they existed until now.
I know, delayed reaction. That happens sometimes. As I walk, I hear something in the bush. I stop, standing still. For all I know, it could be another Werewolf. But... It could be Hiccup. No. He said he wasn't Hunting in these woods.
Just then a white Fox followed by a wolf jumped out of the bush, making me fall back. The wolf caught the fox, killing it instantly. Hiccup. He looked up, licking his jaw, then looked to me. He looked to his kill then back to me.
"Uh.." he started silently. "I chased this thing from the other forest..." He trailed off. "I didn't know you were..."
"It's cool, Hiccup. You didn't kill me." I say. He shook the dirt out of his fur. "It must be awesome having that speed," I say. "Must be easy to catch prey."
He looked at him. "Yeah." He sighed. "I'm the fastest of them all." He added.
"Of all?"
He nodded. "Yeah. their all scared to challenge me of fear they'll lose," he said.
I laugh a little as he shifted. He didn't do anything after. He looked behind him, then jumped up to the closest branch, swinging up, then disappearing. I look up for a moment. "Hiccup?" No reply. "Hiccup."
Just then, something comes out of the trees, grabbing me, pulling me up. I look to See Hiccup.
"Why did you do that?" I look at him then to the ground. "How did you do that?"
"Any Wolf can do that, it's part of our ability." He said.
I don't reply. I look at him, then back to the ground. "We're high up," I say.
"Yeah." He replied. He then looked at me. "Scared of heights?" He asked.
I shake my head. "N-No," I say.
"I can't tell if your lying or not." He said to me. "But I have a feeling you are." He looked down again. "Don't worry. I was afraid of heights when I was younger." He said.
I look at him. "Before or After you turned?" I asked.
"Before."
I lose my balance, he makes a quick move to catch me. He grabbed my hand, keeping me balanced. "You're okay." He told me. I look at him, he seemed to calm me down. "You're okay." He repeated. "... Your not good with heights, are you?" He asked.
I nod, hold his arm. "I'm okay now," I say.
"Your sure?" He asked.
I nod again. "I'm fine."
He leaned against a branch. He sighed then looked to me. "Here," he said to me, pulling something out of his pocket.
He pulled out a small chain with a blue crystal snowflake on it. Yet I ask, "What is it?"
He looked up. "A necklace." He told me to come to me. "It'll keep you safe." He said.
"Why?"
"It has Wolfsbane in it." He starts. "As I said; Snotlout knows I have a human Mate. He wants you dead." He said.
"So what does this do?"
"It's..." he trails off for a moment, not knowing his wording. "If something supernatural were to kill you, this would bring you back alive." He said. "It's a way of becoming immortal, without being turned or dying.
I look at him. "But, it has Wolfsbane it. It'll hurt you." I Say.
He slowly moved my hair away, putting it around my neck. "It'll be fine. I can handle a little pain." He said. "I have been for my entire life."
"I love it," I tell him. "It's beautiful!" He smiled faintly when his gaze went to the scratch on my arm. I watched him sigh, covering it. "It's fine," I tell him. "It doesn't hurt," I say slowly.
He sighed again. "... I hurt you, It hurts me more, to hurt you."
I look at him. "You'd never hurt me on purpose," I say to him. "You were only trying to catch me." He sighed. I take his hand. "I promise. I will be fine."
