6 Days Before Decision

Steve and I were in our apartment having a quick breakfast before we headed to the Tower.

"So, not that it's any of my business...but it is." Steve starts making me roll my eyes amused as I chew on my cereal.

"Are you gonna tell Bucky you're...you know, gay?" He asks making me think.

"Well I think it's kinda obvious that I'm gay. If he figures it out then cool. But if he doesn't, I guess I'll have the talk." I sigh playfully.

"Well if you and Natasha finally make it official then he can find out that way." He chuckles making me blush slightly.

"Actually I think I'm not feeling good-

"Nope, Nope, Nope. You said you were going to ask Natasha to be your gal today and you're gonna do it. You've waited long enough, pal." Steve tells me.

"But what if-

"I know Nat's head over heels for you too. We get to the Tower, you find Nat, then confess your love-

"Woah, woah, love?" I stammer.

"Look me in the eye and tell me you don't love Romanoff." He sighs staring me in the eyes and I look around.

"Has the ceiling always been brown?" I ask with a clear of my throat.

"Joesph." He scoffs.

"Okay, okay. So I might have deep feelings for Nat-

"Which is why you gotta tell her, buddy! Don't you wanna be happy?" He asks sincerely and I look down in thought.

"Here." He says handing me a blank piece of paper and a pen.

"If you can't speak the words you feel, write how you feel about her and give it to her." He tells me softly and I sigh taking the pen in hand and bring the paper closer in front of me.

"Got the poem?" Steve asks with a teasing smirk while we walk up to the tower.

"Yup, I'm putting it with the flowers." I say grabbing the envelope putting it in the bouquet of roses I just bought.

"Everything is starting to come together Steve. We got Buck back and things with Natasha are escalating. I think, I think this is gonna work. I'm starting to be really happy." I smile.

"Well you can thank me later. With pizza." He grins turning to me patting my shoulder and I chuckle shaking my head.

"Hey Happy." "Hey Hogan." Steve and I greet when we see him in the lobby.

"Cap. Sarge." He nods at us with a smile.

We step in the elevator and Steve presses the button for the penthouse where Bucky was staying in. I take off my sunglasses turning them so I see my own reflection. I fix my hair and check if I have anything in my teeth while it moves up. The elevator dings open to the living room of the penthouse.

As we step out we see Bucky sitting on the couch shirtless, with Natasha straddling him also shirtless as they make out feverishly. They don't even notice us. I'm left in shock as my mouth slightly drops along with my heart. Steve clears his throat with a faint blush. Natasha looks up immediately getting off of Buck and we make eye contact but I look away immediately feeling like an idiot.
