We're suited up. I let Cap walk in first into the room as I stand by the door frame. Romanoff stands up from the bed she was sitting on.

"Time to go." He says.

Natasha glances at Barnes before looking over at Cap.

"Go where?" She asks.

"We'll tell you on the way. Can you fly one of those jets?" He asks.

A door opens and a man comes in drying his hands.

"I can." He says.

Cap looks over at Romanoff who nods.

"Got a suit?" He asks the man.

"Yeah." He nods.

"Then suit up." Cap nods as we walk out.

I walk with Steve slightly behind me and Romanoff and Barton behind him as we make our way through the lower hanger bay.

"Hey you guys aren-

I walk past the man without a care as I bump shoulders with him.

"Son, don't." I hear Steve say as he follows inside the plane.

We settle and quickly fly out. From my seat I look down at my shield, my fingers grazing over it.

"You okay?" Steve asks and I nod even though my body is tense.

I lick my dry lips standing up.

"Don't let what Stark said get to you." He tells me in a soft sincere tone.

"I'm not." I defend quickly, even though it's a slight lie.

"Sarge-

"Steve I could've lost you." I say in a quiet serious tone as I don't look up.

"J-

"You fell out of the ship. You were literally hanging by a wire." I grit frustrated.

"I know but you got to me in time. Thank you for that." He tells me placing a hand on my shoulder.

"We're both gonna make it out of this J.D. I promise." He adds.

"You can't make that promise, Steve." I shake my head.

"Um, you guys might wanna see this." Barton says getting our attention.

Steve and I go over near the cockpit and see the Chitauri army.

"Holy fuck." I mumble ditching my glasses.

"Language." Steve says even though he's also looking on astonished.

Barton and Romanoff start shooting at the Chitauri but one of our wings get hit.

"Nat!" Barton exclaims.

"I see 'em." Romanoff responds as they keep shooting.

We start to go down making Steve and I hold onto the roof waiting for impact. The plane grazes buildings and crashes down on the street. We step out and look around.

"We gotta get back up there." Cap says.

We look up at Stark Tower and a huge warship of some sorts comes through the portal, a Leviathan, with more warriors.

"Stark, you seeing this?" Cap asks through the coms.

"Seeing. Still working on believing." He responds.

"Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" He then asks.

"Banner?" Cap questions.

"Just keep me posted." Tony says.
