My eyes widen slightly as I take in Natasha's new look, her even being here was the last thing I ever expected.

"..Hey." I say softly.

"Hey." She greets sarcastically as if she didn't spend the better part of the last five months looking for J.D. and they ran into each other at a supermarket.

I purse my lips inward looking down then back at the table. When I do, the men continue to eat like they haven't been watching this interaction intently. I turn back to look at Natasha.

"You hungry?" I offer.

"I can eat." She nods softly.

I nod slowly, looking back at the table again before looking over at her.

"Take a seat. I'll bring you a plate." I say then leave to the kitchen.

A minute later Evie comes in the kitchen grabbing two plates.

"So, how did you guys...get acquainted?" I sigh.

"The tavern..sort of." She replies and I shake my head as I looked into the refrigerator.

"Aren't you happy to see your friend?" She questions.

"That's not exactly the word I would use." I mumble grabbing Natasha's plate with a cold beer in the other hand and make my way back to the dining room.

J.D. places the plate of food and opens a beer placing it in front of Natasha, the cold vapor coming out of the top slightly.

"Thank you." She nods as J.D. makes her way back to her seat.

Natasha looks down at the pot roast and mashed potatoes that occupied the plate grabbing her fork and slowly begins to eat.

As everyone eats it's kind of awkward. Small talk here and there with Natasha and I stealing glances but haven't spoken directly to each other yet. Slowly one by one the others leave. My best friend Jacob, Evie's twin brother, being the last one who pats my shoulder as he passed by my seat.

Now it was just Natasha and I who were left still eating slowly.

"So, you changed your hair." I say taking a bite of my bread roll not looking up at the, now blonde.

"..Yeah." She nods.

"Anything else new?" I raise a brow.

"Well, Bucky finally got the HYDRA brain washing out of his head, in Wakanda. We can thank T'challa for that. Clint's finally finished remodeling his house. Morgan's running around." She lists off and I nod.
