I was laying down with my ear buds in listening to some Benny Goodman, particularly Chicago. Even though it's release date was when I was well into ice it still reminded me of a simpler time. As I listened to my music I looked up at the ceiling of the ship with my hands behind my head for support. My plain boring view is obstructed when Natasha stands next to me causing a minor shadow making me remove one of my earbuds since this is the first time she's approached me in the last 7 and a half hours.

"We'll be landing in 20 minutes." She informs me.

I then sit up to stretch, popping my back and groaning softly in the process.

"Tired?" Natasha asks making me chuckle a bit.

"Eh, I'm always tired." I shrug standing up from my seat.

"Has anything remotely worked for you to get sleep?" She then asks.

"Um not really. I tried NyQuil, those soothing forest sounds, working out. I get maybe 30 minutes to an hour max of actually shut eye." I explain casually as I made sure I had all my stuff gathered.

The ship lands on the hangar of the Avengers Tower and the ramp lowers. I take a deep breath, the sun light shining brightly as I see the outside.

"Come on. Walk ahead, I'm not taking a chance of you running to the pilot seat." Natasha jokes.

"Ha. Ha." I roll my eyes as I walk down with my stuff.

"Where is everyone anyway?" I ask curiously as we get inside the building.

"Last time I checked in, Thor, Steve, Sam and Bruce are on a mission but everyone else should be around here." She tells me looking around.

"Did you tell them that you got me to come back?" I then ask making her look over to my direction.

"It was never a for sure thing until you stepped off the ramp a minute ago." She responds and I tilt my head with a nod in agreement.

We then hear footsteps and I jump over to hide behind a couch making Natasha give me a look of bewilderment but I place a finger against my lips to tell her to not say anything.

"Hey Nat you're finally back!" I hear Wanda say.

"How were your travels?" Vision asks.

"Ah!" I jump from behind the couch scaring Wanda making her scream and she waves her hand sending me flying up at the ceiling and fall back down with a painful groan.

"Surprise.." I groan with a wheeze.

"Oh my god!" Natasha exclaims coming over to check on me with the other two.

"Are you okay?!" She asks worryingly and I nod slightly.

"J.D! I'm so sorry but what the hell?! Also I'm glad to see you but what the hell?!" Wanda says running a hand through her hair.

I slowly get up on my feet.

"Gotta admit, seeing your face..it was worth it." I chuckle and Wanda nudges me but then hugs me.

"I missed your old ass." She says making me chuckle.

"Thanks, kid." I respond before looking up.

"Vision." I nod.

"*nods* J.D. Good to see you again. We've missed you." He responds kindly.

"You're such an idiot." Natasha shakes her head at me.

"Remind me to put that on my resume." I smile lightly at her to which she narrows her eyes playfully.

I then turn back towards Wanda and Vision.
