Later....
New York was being under attack again. Reptilian aliens causing havoc anywhere they were.
What they are after, the Mind Stone.
These entities were not something to be messed with. They had thick skin and weapons to fight back with. Nothing like the Chitauri from back in 2012, these were stronger. The police and SWAT teams were called in to assist the Avengers to insure the safety of civilians.
"Hey Stark, when did you have a wardrobe change?" Clint asks looking at a red and black Iron Man suit that whizzed by the rooftop he was on.
"That isn-" Tony responds.
"Ah! Mayday! Mayday!"
The billionaire is cut off when Rhodey is heard frantically. The arc reactor in his chest plate has been hit making his suit malfunction in mid air causing him to plummet towards the ground.
"Rhodey!" Tony calls out flying at full speed trying to catch up to catch his best friend.
"Tony. I'm flying dead stick." Rhodey says, his suit emitting black smoke.
"Rhodes!"
He hits the ground.
Safely.
He was caught and rolled on the ground.
"Welcome back...Sarge." Tony says, stopping, pulling back floating in the air, relief in his voice for not having to see Rhodey splat on the ground.
"Did I hear you say Sarge?" Steve pants as he ducks from an alien then looks up and around.
